After hearing Colonel Bachchu's words, Borhan Shah said, “Your words are not entirely true, but you have many falsehoods in your words.”
Colonel Bachchu said that,“I have told you what your disciple Morjina told me.”
Borhan Shah looked at Morjina and said,“What have you said to this gentleman about Hasan Basri and your son.”
Morjina then said,“Baba, I have told this gentleman that my son, like Hasan Basri, was a great saint, and Hasan Basri was also disabled.”
Borhan Shah bit his tongue after hearing Morjina's words. Then he said,“Morjina, what did I tell you? Did I tell you, if you tell people something else like that, can you be a female fan?”
Hearing this, Morjina almost cried, she said,“Baba, if I can be with you, why should I leave the family and hope for a spiritual path will become a failure?”
Borhan Shah said,“I told you Hasan Basri was a great saint, he was saint of saints and if you put your son in the shrine then your son's shrine will be established after his death, in the course of time, one day your son's name will be known like Hasan Basri and people will not remember whether your son was disabled or a saint.”
Hearing this, Morjina cried and touched Borhansa's feet and said,“Baba, baba, I have made a mistake. Please forgive me. I will never compare my son with Hasan Basri and ask for money from people again.I will never call Hasan Basri disabled like my son.”
Borhan Shah then smiled and told Colonel Bachchu,“Basically you didn't hear me directly from me. You heard it from my disciple Morjina. As a result, you are confused by my words because Morjina could not present my words to you properly.”
Borhan Shah now became serious and said,“Hassan Basri, he is an the great saint, but later on, do we have any historical identification of the people who became shrines in Bangladesh? Baba Shahjalal, Shahparan, Kella Shah and others are known historically. But there are hundreds of shrines, do we know their identity? We don't know the identity of their father, we don't know the identity of their mother either. But we go to their shrine.”
Borhan Shah's sulks was revealed in these words. Colonel Bachchu understood the point.
Colonel Bachchu understood the matter and asked Borhan Shah,“Baba, why did you suddenly say these things with sulks?”
On hearing this, Borhan Shah sighed and said,“I have said this with sulks that I have left my teaching for whatever reason, I have left my family, if I do not own a shrine with more familiarity than any nameless shrine after visiting the shrine for so many years, then what is the benefit of going to the shrine for so many years? And what will I get by obeying Baba Shahjalal's orders?”
Hearing this, Colonel Bachchu said,“You have said the right thing. I agree with your words. But I have some doubts about your words. The first doubt is, did Baba Shahjalal really ordered you,Or did you dream it or someone came and told you about Baba Shahjalal, is that what you are doing in shrines all over the country thinking of Baba Shahjalal's order?The second dilemma is, how do you ensure that shrine will exist after you die?”
Hearing this, Borhan Shah said,“You are right, but I am too old after visiting shrines for so many years. Now, what else can I do or what will I do? So, I am in this line.”
At that time, a man said from the back,“What is the matter, why is this being done? Will the court find the accused like the lawyer, who is doing this, who are you, where are you from?”
Colonel Bachchu turned back and saw a middle-aged man standing and saying these things. Colonel Bachchu said to the man,“I am asking Baba Borhan Shah about various issues. What is your problem?”
The man said that,“You are only famous for different things, you have scared the black dog of the RAB, our Guru, what is the leader of the thieves and robbers who will scare the black dog of the RAB camp?And if there are black dogs in the RAB camp, are they the property of your father and grandfather? They are bought with the tax money of the people of Bangladesh. Who are you to fear?”
Then major Mofiz said that,“We did not ask Borhan Huzur to arrest him and said that, if he does not give us the correct information then if we leave then RAB may come and black dog bite his neck etc.”
Hearing this, the man said,“Well, I have heard you, but whatever you are, be it RAB or something else, remember that your power will not work here, there is another rule here, investigate you according to that rule. We who live in the shrine have our own set of rules, so those who live outside the shrine have many differences between the people of the world and those of us who live in the shrine, especially in terms of behavior etc. So, don't judge us by comparison with the people of the world. Rather, try to understand us through the rules we have.”
Major Mofiz said,“I did not tell you that we are RAB.”
With this, Major Mofiz pointed his eyes at Colonel Bachchu. In response, Colonel Bachchu also pointed to his eyes. That means, Okay.
The man said,“Then who are you?”
Major Mofiz said,“We are herbal doctors.”
Meanwhile, Colonel Bachchu said the man,“Wow, you can speak very beautifully, so, where did you come from in this spiritual world and what do you do?”
The man said,“I was a lawyer. But while dealing with a false case, the opponent threatened to kill me. So, I left the advocacy and entered this spiritual world.”
Colonel Bachchu said,“Then do you also hope that even after your death, you too will have a shrine like Borhan Shah?”
The man said,“No, I am not hoping so much, but I am hoping that when Baba Borhan Shah dies, I will be the director of his shrine committee. I could not be a member of the committee of this Kella Shah's shrine.So, by becoming the director of Baba Borhan Shah's shrine committee, I will remove that pain in my mind, not only me but those who could not be members of this Kella shah's shrine committee, all of them will go with me and become members of Bababa Borhan shah's shrine committee.”
Colonel Bachchu said,“Then you have a plan. I won't tell you anything else. But don't think you or anyone in your world is above the law.”
Hearing this, the man said,“I have given up advocacy long ago. But do not think that I have forgotten the law. I am very careful about it. কর্নেল বাচ্চুর কথা শোনার পর বোরহান শাহ বললেন,“আপনার কথাগুলো পুরোপুরি সত্য না, কিন্তু আপনার কথায় অনেক ভুল আছে।”
কর্নেল বাচ্চু বলেন,“আপনার শিষ্যা মর্জিনা আমাকে যা বলেছে, আমি আপনাকে তা-ই বলেছি।”
বোরহান শাহ মর্জিনার দিকে তাকিয়ে বললেন,“হাসান বসরি আর তোমার ছেলের ব্যাপারে এই ভদ্রলোককে তুমি কী বলেছো?”
মর্জিনা তখন বলল,“বাবা, আমি এই ভদ্রলোককে বলেছি যে, হাসান বসরির মতো আমার ছেলেও একজন মহান সাধক ছিলেন এবং হাসান বসরিও প্রতিবন্ধী ছিলেন।”
মর্জিনার কথা শুনে বোরহান শাহ তিনির জিহ্বা কামড় দিলেন। তখন তিনি বললেন, “মর্জিনা, তোমাকে আমি কী বলেছিলাম? আমি কি তোমাকে বলেছিলাম, তুমি যদি মানুষকে এরকম কিছু বলে দাও, তাহলে তুমি কি একজন মহিলা ভক্ত হতে পারবে?”
এ কথা শুনে মর্জিনা প্রায় কেঁদে ফেলল, সে বলল,“বাবা, আমি আমার পরিবার ত্যাগ করে আপনার সাথে থাকছি।তাহলে আধ্যাত্মিক লাইনে কেন আমি ব্যর্থ হব?”
বোরহান শাহ বলেন,“আমি তোমাকে বলেছিলাম, হাসান বসরি একজন মহান সাধক ছিলেন, তিনি সাধকদেরও সাধক ছিলেন এবং তুমি যদি তোমার ছেলেকে মাজারে রাখ, তাহলে তোমার ছেলের মৃত্যুর পরও ওর মাজার প্রতিষ্ঠিত হবে, সময়ের সাথে সাথে একদিন তোমার ছেলের নাম হাসান বসরির মতো পরিচিত হবে। এবং লোকেরা মনে রাখবে না যে, তোমার ছেলে প্রতিবন্ধী নাকি সাধু ছিল।”
এ কথা শুনে মর্জিনা কেঁদে কেঁদে বোরহান শাহর পা ছুঁয়ে বললেন,“বাবা, বাবা, আমি ভুল করেছি। দয়া করে আমাকে ক্ষমা করে দেন। আমি আমার ছেলেকে হাসান বসরির সাথে তুলনা করব না এবং মানুষের কাছে আর কখনো টাকা চাইব না। আমি কখনই হাসান বসরিকে আমার ছেলের মতো প্রতিবন্ধী বলব না।”
বোরহান শাহ তখন হেসে কর্নেল বাচ্চুকে বলেন,“মূলত আপনি আমার কাছ থেকে সরাসরি আমার কথা শোনেননি। আপনি এটা আমার শিষ্যা মর্জিনার কাছ থেকে শুনেছেন। ফলস্বরূপ, আপনি আমার কথায় বিভ্রান্ত হয়েছেন।কারণ মর্জিনা আমার কথাগুলি আপনার কাছে সঠিকভাবে উপস্থাপন করতে পারেনি।”
বোরহান শাহ এখন গম্ভীর হয়ে বললেন,“হাসান বসরি, তিনি একজন মহান সাধক, কিন্তু পরবর্তীতে বাংলাদেশে যাদের কবরগুলো মাজারে পরিণত হয়েছে, তাদের কোন ঐতিহাসিক পরিচয় কি আমাদের কাছে আছে? বাবা শাহজালাল, শাহপরান, কেল্লা শাহ প্রমুখ ঐতিহাসিকভাবে পরিচিত। কিন্তু শত শত মাজার আছে, আমরা কি তাদের পরিচয় জানি? আমরা তাদের বাবার পরিচয় জানি না, তাদের মায়ের পরিচয়ও জানি না। কিন্তু আমরা তাদের মাজারে যাই।”
এ সকল কথায় বোরহান শাহর অভিমান প্রকাশিত হলো। কর্নেল বাচ্চু বিষয়টা বুঝতে পারলেন।
কর্নেল বাচ্চু বিষয়টা বুঝতে পেরে বোরহান শাহকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন,“বাবা, হঠাৎ করে অভিমান করে এসব কথা বললেন কেন?”
একথা শুনে বোরহান শাহ্ একটা দীর্ঘশ্বাস ফেলে বললেন,“ আমি এজন্য অভিমানে একথাটা বলেছি যে, আমি যে কোন কারণেই হোক আমার অধ্যাপনা ত্যাগ করেছি, সংসার ত্যাগ করেছি, এতো বছর মাজারে মাজারে ঘুরে যদি আমি নাম-পরিচয়হীন কোন মাজারের চেয়ে বেশি পরিচিতি সম্পন্ন মাজারের অধিকারী না হই, তাহলে এতো বছর মাজারে মাজারে ঘুরে আমার কী লাভ হলো? এবং বাবা শাহজালালের আদেশ পালন করে আমি কী পাব?”
একথা শুনে কর্নেল বাচ্চু বললেন,“আপনি কথাটা ঠিক বলেছেন।আপনার কথার সাথে আমি একমত আছি। কিন্তু আপনার কথার ব্যাপারে আমার কিছু দ্বিধাদ্বন্দ্ব আছে। প্রথম দ্বিধাদ্বন্দ্ব হচ্ছে, বাবা শাহজালাল কি সত্যিই আপনাকে আদেশ করেছেন, নাকি আপনি সেটা স্বপ্ন দেখেছেন অথবা বাবা শাহজালালের কথা বলে কেউ আপনাকে এসে ওই কথা বলেছিল, সেটাকেই কি আপনি বাবা শাহজালালের আদেশ মনে করে সারাদেশের মাজারে মাজারে আজো করছেন? দ্বিতীয় দ্বিধাদ্বন্দ্ব হচ্ছে, আপনার মৃত্যুর পর মাজার প্রতিষ্ঠা হবে, সেটা আপনি কীভাবে নিশ্চিত হচ্ছেন?”
একথা শুনে বোরহান শাহ্ বললেন,“তোমার কথাও ঠিক আছে। কিন্তু এতো বছর মাজারে মাজারে ঘুরে আমার বয়স অনেক হয়ে গিয়েছে। এখন তাছাড়া আমি আর কী করতে পারব? অথবা আমি কী করব? তাই এই লাইনেই আমি আছি।”
এ সময় পেছন থেকে একজন লোক বলল, “কী ব্যাপার? আদালতে আসামিকে আইনজীবী কর্তৃক জেরা করার ভঙ্গিতে কে কথা বলছে?তুমি কে?তুমি কোথা থেকে এসেছ?”
কর্নেল বাচ্চু পিছন ফিরে দেখলেন একজন মধ্যবয়সী লোক দাঁড়িয়ে এসব কথা বলছে। কর্নেল বাচ্চু লোকটিকে বললেন,“বাবা বোরহান শাহকে আমি বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে জিজ্ঞেস করছি। তোমার সমস্যা কী?”
লোকটা বলল,“তুমি শুধু বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে বাবাকে প্রশ্ন করনি, তুমি র্যাবের কালো কুকুরের ভয় দেখিয়েছ, আমাদের বাবা বোরহান শাহ কি চোর-ডাকাতের সর্দার? আর র্যাব ক্যাম্পের বিদেশি কালা কুত্তাগুলো কি তোমার বাপ-দাদার সম্পত্তি? এগুলো বাংলাদেশের জনগণের ট্যাক্সের টাকা দিয়ে কেনা হয়। তুমি কাকে ভয় দেখাচ্ছ?”
তখন মেজর মফিজ বললেন,“আমরা বোরহান হুজুরকে গ্রেপ্তার করতে বলিনি এবং বলেছিলাম, তিনি যদি আমাদের ঠিক তথ্য না দেন, তাহলে আমরা চলে গেলে র্যাব এসে তিনিকে নিয়ে যেতে পারে এবং কালো ককুরে কামড়ে তিনির ঘাড়টা মটকে দিতে পারে প্রভৃতি।”
এই কথা শুনে লোকটি বলল,“আচ্ছা, আমি তোমার কথা শুনেছি, কিন্তু তুমি যেই হও না কেন, র্যাব অথবা অন্য কিছু, মনে রেখো, তোমার ক্ষমতা এখানে কাজ করবে না, এখানে আরেকটা নিয়ম আছে, সেই নিয়ম অনুযায়ী তোমাকে তদন্ত করতে হবে। আমরা যারা মাজারে বাস করি তাদের নিজস্ব নিয়ম রয়েছে। তাই যারা মাজারের বাইরে থাকেন, অর্থাৎ সংসারী মানুষ এবং আমরা যারা মাজারে বাস করি তাদের মধ্যে অনেক পার্থক্য রয়েছে।বিশেষত আচার-আচরণ প্রভৃতির ক্ষেত্রে। অতএব, সংসারী মানুষের সাথে তুলনা করে আমাদের বিচার করবে না। বরং আমাদের যে নিয়ম আছে, সেগুলোর মাধ্যমে আমাদের বোঝার চেষ্টা কর।”
মেজর মফিজ বললেন,“আমি তো আপনাদেরকে বলিনি যে,আমরা র্যাব।”
একথা বলে কর্নেল বাচ্চুর দিকে মেজর মফিজ চোখের ইশারা করলেন। প্রতিউত্তরে কর্নেল বাচ্চুও চোখে ইশারা করে বুঝিয়ে দিলেন,ঠিক আছে।
লোকটা বলল,“তাহলে তোমরা কারা?”
মেজর মফিজ বললেন,“আমরা হার্বালের ডাক্তার।”
এ সময় কর্নেল বাচ্চু লোকটিকে বলেন,“বাহ, আপনি খুব সুন্দর করে কথা বলতে পারেন, তাহলে এই আধ্যাত্মিক জগতে আপনি কোথা থেকে এসেছেন এবং তুমি কী করতেন?”
লোকটা বলল,“আমি একজন আইনজীবী ছিলাম। কিন্তু মিথ্যা মামলা করার সময় আমাকে প্রতিপক্ষ হত্যার হুমকি দেয়। তাই, আমি উকালতি ছেড়ে এই আধ্যাত্মিক জগতে প্রবেশ করেছি।”
কর্নেল বাচ্চু বললেন,“তাহলে আপনিও কি আশা করেন যে, আপনারও মৃত্যুর পর বোরহান শাহর মতো একটি মাজার হবে?”
লোকটা বলল,“না, আমি খুব বেশি আশা করছি না, তবে আমি আশা করছি যে, বাবা বোরহান শাহ মারা গেলে আমি হব তিনির মাজার কমিটির পরিচালক। আমি এই কেল্লা শাহর মাজার কমিটির সদস্য হতে পারিনি। তাই বাবা বোরহান শাহর মাজার কমিটির পরিচালক হয়ে আমি আমার মনের সেই বেদনা দূর করে দেব। শুধু আমি নই, যারা এই কেল্লা শাহর মাজার কমিটির সদস্য হতে পারেনি, ওরা সকলেই আমার সঙ্গে যাবেন এবং বাবা বোরহান শাহর মাজার কমিটির সদস্য হবে।”
কর্নেল বাচ্চু বললেন,“তাহলে আপনার একটা পরিকল্পনা আছে। আপনাকে আমি আর কিছু বলব না। কিন্তু মনে রাখবেন যে, আপনি অথবা আপনার জগতের কেউই আইনের উর্ধ্বে না।”
