“A pir is murdered and RJ Chowdhury uncovers it.”
1. Gaddinishin (Succeeded) Pir Waskuruni.
Just after ten in the morning, RJ Chowdhury's mobile phone rang. He answered it.
Someone from the other end said, “Are you RJ Chowdhury?”
RJ Chowdhury said, “Yes, I am RJ Chowdhury.”
— Do you investigate murder cases?
— I do all the legal things when I get money.
— Well, where are you now?
— I'm at home.
— Then I will meet you tomorrow at ten o'clock in the morning.
The next morning at ten o'clock, the man came to RJ Chowdhury's office and said, “My name is Waskuruni. I am currently serving as my father's gaddinishin pir. My father was murdered the day before yesterday. The day before yesterday, someone or some people killed my father by slitting his throat. Now that The DB police are investigating.”

2. Gadhashal in Jamalpur.
The next day, RJ Chowdhury went to Gadhashal in Jamalpur.
RJ Chowdhury said to Waskuruni, “Take me to the place where your father was killed.”
Waskuruni said, “Look, in a few days, the annual Orsh Mahfil will be held at our house, I will have to be busy. So I will not be able to give you time. But with you, I am giving my nephew Farid. He will help your investigation.”
So, Farid along with RJ Chowdhury came to the place where pir Saheb was killed. Four rooms in Mr.Pir's house. One is a three storied, another two storied and the other two are single – storied buildings. Mr.Pir was killed in his room on the second floor of a three-storied building.
After telling Farid, he opened the door of the room to RJ Chowdhury.
After entering the room, Farid told RJ Chowdhury, “DB police came and searched the entire room. We don't know what they found.”
RJ Chowdhury searched the whole room in his own way. He took out a magnifying glass from his pocket and checked the special place very well. Then he looked out of the window and saw a massive field. There was big grass growing in it.
Seeing this, RJ Chowdhury asked Farid, “Why have they planted grass in such a large field? These are foreign grasses. Do you have a dairy farm?”
Farid said, “Yes. These are grasses produced from foreign grass seeds. Currently, many agro companies in Bangladesh import their seeds and sell them in packets.”
RJ Chowdhury asked, “Since when are you cultivating this grass?”
Farid said, “It's been a few years. Well, what did my uncle Gaddinishin Pir Waskuruni do? The DB police are investigating the matter, but why did he spend so much money and hire you? I don't understand. But a DB member said,‘we will catch the accused as soon as possible, then organize a press conference. And organize a buffet at the DB office. It will have everything from small fish chachchari to beef rezala and mutton rogan joss.’ Well, you do one thing, dropped the investigation of my grandfather's murder. You gave me money from uncle, gave me half of money. Meanwhile, the DB police should continue to investigate and find the murderer. 3. A while on a dairy farm.
RJ Chowdhury started walking along the dairy farm road and Farid started walking behind.
RJ chowdhury went to the dairy farm and saw some people cutting the cut grass into small pieces. Another one was putting the cow dung in the khadi (bamboo basket).
When the man came near, RJ Chowdhury asked, “Where did you import these cows from?”
The man said, “These are gifted cows from devotees from different places. But before we bring them to the farm, we grade them. We keep the ones that are the healthiest, strongest and fattest in the dairy farm. Then we sell the weaker ones in the market. And Those who are half-hearted are on the occasion of the annual Orsh Mahfil who come for sacrifice are fed, but not without money, And the gift is both money and goods.”
After hearing this, Farid said to the man,“This Tabarak stupid, what are you talking about? You throw dung at the farm, or do you think of becoming a cow doctor in front of strangers?”
After hearing this the man told RJ Chowdhury,“Sir, give me twenty taka.”
After RJ Chowdhury gave Tabarak twenty taka, the man said,“Sir, don't you have any more money?”
“There is some retail money.” said RJ Chowdhury.
Tabarak said,“Where do these fakini polars(sons of poors) come from?”
RJ Chowdhury said,“I have some retail money in my pocket. And more than ten lakh taka in bKash, Nagad and Rocket accounts.”
“Oh, well. Then you're not fakinni's pola(son of poor)” Saying this, Tabarak left to throw dung.
4. rude clan.
When Tabarak left, Farid said,“This stupid is rude. His father was rude, his grandfather was also rude.”
After saying this, RJ Chowdhury was taken to the back of Farid farm. He showed two graves there and said, “This is his father's grave and that is his grandfather's grave. His father was my grandfather's servant and his grandfather was my grandfather's servant. Now he is my uncle Waskuruni's servant. But he also won't like my uncle. 5. Doctor's master planning.
RJ Chowdhury pointed out how many ponds in the distance and said,“Is that a fish farm?”
Farid said,“You are right. We also do fish farming.”
Going towards the fish farm, RJ Chowdhury said with a smile,“Do the fans give you fish from your fish farm?”
Hearing this, Farid also smiled and said,“Oh no. But if it were possible, then we would have brought it as a gift from the fans.”
Seeing RJ Chowdhury and Farid, another person started moving forward. But when he came near, Farid scolded him and said, “Go, go, go to work.”
RJ Chowdhury saw a man testing the fish caught with a net. Seeing him, RJ Chowdhury asked Farid, “Who is he?”
Farid said, “He is our dairy farm and fish farm doctor. He is a DVM doctor from Chittagong Veterinary University.”
RJ Chowdhury said, “How much do you pay him a month?”
Farid said, “No salary is given. He treats us here on only staying and eating.”
RJ Chowdhury said, “Then for what purpose does he practice medicine here?”
Farid said, “He mainly studied medicine here to become a doctor in the future.”
RJ Chowdhury said, “A DVM becomes a pir?”
Farid said, “If we give the caliphate to pirali, then he can be the pir. Be it a human doctor or a cow doctor.”
RJ Chowdhury said, “Can I talk to the doctor?”
Farid said, “Of course.”
Saying this, Farid took RJ Chowdhury to the doctor.

The doctor said, “Look, I am a doctor. I will have a cow farm, a goat farm, a chicken farm and a fish farm in my house. Basically, I will turn my house into a resort with a farm. RJ Chowdhury said, “Wow, you have already planned.”

6. RJ Chowdhury inside the house.
RJ Chowdhury came to the living room with Farid.
From the window of RJ Chowdhury's living room, the house of gaddinishin pir Waskuruni and his father's house, where Mr.Pir was killed, can be seen.

7. Beyond the forest.
RJ Chowdhury woke up again in the afternoon and went out for a walk. RJ Chowdhury walked through a forest towards the market.
After walking for a while, RJ Chowdhury realized who was following him. So, he looked back and saw the doctor quietly following RJ Chowdhury coming back and forth.
RJ Chowdhury said to the doctor, “What's the matter? Why are you following me like this?”
The doctor hesitated and said, “No, no. Nothing like that. I saw you entering the forest, so I thought, what are you doing in the forest?”
RJ Chowdhury said, “I will not do anything in the forest. But I am going to the market on the other side of the forest to have tea and breakfast. Come with me, we will have tea in the shop.”
Saying this, RJ Chowdhury walked across the forest with the doctor.
8. At the tea shop.
RJ Chowdhury went to the tea shop with doctor.
After eating dry cake and tea, RJ Chowdhury asked the shopkeeper, “Well, how much do you know about the murdered Mr.Pir?”
The shopkeeper said, “He is a hereditary pir. There are very few rich pirs like him in Bangladesh. He did not have a good relationship with the people of this area. But I heard that the current gaddinishin pir will strengthen the relationship with the people of the area.”
After tea, RJ Chowdhury paid the bill and took the doctor with him to Waskuruni's house. By then it was night.
The doctor went to his room and RJ Chowdhury entered his room.
When dinner came, RJ Chowdhury walked around for a while and fell asleep.
9. The murderer was caught.
It's been a while since two a:m. Waskuruni woke up and came from the bathroom.
Waskuruni started to get up in bed when he heard the sound of gunshots.
He quickly went to the window and looked down and saw that RJ Chowdhury was standing in a corner of the yard pointing a pistol.
And when RJ Chowdhury was pointing the pistol at him, Waskuruni's hair stood on end.
He is the faithful khadem Tabarak in the lineage of the Waskurunis.
Seeing this, Waskuruni started to come down quickly. He thought, maybe RJ Chowdhury was standing pointing the pistol at Tabarak mistakenly.
Waskuruni went to RJ Chowdhury and said, “What are you doing? Did you shoot my trusted servant Tabarak? And now you are holding him?”
RJ Chowdhury said, “May you be blessed, your faithful servant. But he is the one who killed your father. And now he has come to kill you.”
Hearing this, Waskuruni said, “I do not believe you at all. You must have made a mistake somewhere.”
Meanwhile, Tabarak looked at Waskuruni and threw the one-foot-long dagger in his hand at Waskuruni.
But when the dagger was in the middle, RJ Chowdhury fired with Glock Nineteen pistol.
Waskuruni said, “Now I believe, my father was killed by Tabarak.”
As soon as, Waskuruni finished speaking, the doctor rushed towards Tabarak with a bill hook in his hand.
10. Cheating over the detective.
Seeing this, RJ Chowdhury also shot bill hook in the doctor's hand with a pistol. As a result, the bill hook also ran away from the doctor's hand.
Waskuruni said to the doctor, “Why do you give bill hook in your hand? Do you want to kill Tabarak?”
The doctor said, “Yes. Because, I would have received the caliphate from your father long ago. But Tabarak said to your father, ‘We have been engaged in your service for generations. But none of us got caliphate. But, a cow doctor from somewhere will come and get caliphate – it doesn't happen.’ Your father caliphate listens to me. So, I decided to kill Tabarak.”
RJ Chowdhury said to the doctor, “Then why did you follow me quietly in the forest?”
“To do espionage,” said the doctor.
Waskuruni said to the doctor, “What do you mean?”
The doctor said, “I was following RJ Chowdhury because I would catch whoever he identified as the murderer first. In other words, RJ Chowdhury will identify the accused, but I will take credit for the accused.”
RJ Chowdhury said, “So do you want to be a doctor, pir, detective, farm owner all at once?”
“Yes, that's what I want to be.” said the doctor.
Waskuruni said, “That's why you are cheating over the detective.”
11. Tabarak's confession.
RJ Chowdhury asked Tabarak, “You are the servants of Waskurunis from generation to generation. Then why did you kill Waskuruni's father?”
Waskuruni continued, “All the lands you saw, including these houses, were owned by my grandfather. One day, a man came from Charjabbar in Noakhali and said to my grandfather, ‘I am pure pir. If you want to be saved, then be my servant.’ My grandfather heard this and became a disciple of that pir. After a few days, the pir said to my grandfather, ‘Your service is not going well. If you would like to be my true servant, then hand over all your property to me. In return, you will get my caliphate and be known in the world as a great old man.’ Grandfather owned a large property. But his book knowledge there was no. Even he did not understand many complexities of reality. So, my grandfather did that according to the words of that pir. Thereafter, my grandfather's slavery started. All kinds of menial jobs were assigned to my grandfather, starting from cow dung removal. And people started coming on Orsh occasion. But in front of them started insulting my grandfather for reason or no reason because of that pir. That pir is the grandfather of this Waskuruni.”
On hearing this, Waskuruni said to Tabarak, “What are you talking about my grandfather? My grandfather blessed your clan with your grandfather's property.”
RJ Chowdhury said to Waskuruni, “Let Tabarak speak.”
Tabarak continued, “Nevertheless, my grandfather endured everything only in the hope of attaining the caliphate and becoming an pir. But the hope did not materialize. One day that pir died. Pir was replaced by his son, Waskuruni's father, whom I killed. My grandfather began to enslave pir who was his own son's age. Hoping to get the caliphate from pir's son. But my grandfather's hopes were not fulfilled. One day my grandfather also died. This time, my father became the khadem of Waskuruni's father. My father also hoped that even if my grandfather did not get the caliphate, my father would get the caliphate. But my father's hope was not fulfilled either. My father also died one day. Now, I am Waskuruni's father's servant. But I refused in my heart to be a slave like my grandfather. Instead, I planned to kill Waskuruni's father. And entered the room through the window and killed him. And today I came to kill Waskuruni. But RJ Chowdhury caught me.”

I understood that he will come to kill you at night. So, I went on camels at night to catch him. And I caught him.”
13. What RJ Chowdhury fears.
In the morning, RJ Chowdhury came out with his belongings.
Seeing that, Waskuruni said, “Are you leaving?”
RJ Chowdhury said, “Yes, I am leaving.”
Waskuruni said, “You stay. You may go after orsh.”
RJ Chowdhury said, “No. I have a lot of work to do.”
Waskuruni said, “What if I don't let you go?”
RJ Chowdhury smiled and said, “You may try to stop me. But I fear only those people who have the power to kill me. Only if such a person is blocked in front of me, then I stop or go on another path or come back and start again on another path.”
Waskuruni heard that in the early days the sages of the Treta era used to chant mantras from the depths of their hearts. Waskuruni has not seen it anywhere for a long time.

The doctor said, “I will do employment now. I will be pir when I am old. Now I am leaving."
Waskuruni said, “That will be fine. You have come to my father's home after being chased by RAB after doing Yaba's business. After that, you started working on only eating and staying. Now the danger is over, and you are also leaving.”

"একজন পির সাহেব খুন হলেন এবং আরজে চৌধুরী সেটা উদঘাটন করল।"
১. গদ্দিনিশিন পির ওয়াসকুরুনি।
সকাল দশটার পর পরই আরজে চৌধুরীর মোবাইলটা বেজে উঠলো।সে রিসিভ করল।
অপর প্রান্ত থেকে একজন বললেন,"আপনি কি আরজে চৌধুরী?"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"হ্যাঁ,আমি আরজে চৌধুরী।"
- আপনি কি মার্ডার কেসের তদন্ত করেন?
- টাকা পেলে আমি বৈধ সকল কাজই করি।
- আচ্ছা,আপনি এখন কোথায়?
- আমি বাড়িতেই আছি।
- তাহলে আগামী কাল সকাল দশটার দিকে আপনার সাথে দেখা করব।
পরদিন সকাল দশটায় আরজে চৌধুরীর অফিসে এসে সেই লোক বললেন,"আমার নাম ওয়াসকুরুনি।বর্তমানে আমি আমার বাবার গদ্দিনিশিন পির হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছি। আমার বাবা পরশু দিন খুন হয়েছেন। পরশু দিনের আগের দিন কে বা কারা আমার বাবাকে গলা কেটে হত্যা করেছে।এখন সেটা ডিবি পুলিশে তদন্ত করছে।"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"বিষয়টা ডিবি পুলিশে তদন্ত করছে,তাহলে তো হলোই।"
- আমি ব্যক্তিগতভাবে তদন্ত করাতে চাই। তাই আপনাকে আমি নিয়োগ করতে চাই।
- আচ্ছা,তাহলে আমাকে টাকা দেন,আমি তদন্ত শুরু করি।
- আপনাকে আমার কত টাকা দিতে হবে?
আরজে চৌধুরী টাকার পরিমাণ বলল।এটা শোনে ওয়াসকুরুনি প্রায় আঁতকে উঠে বললেন,"এতো টাকা? একটা মার্ডার কেসের তদন্ত করতে আপনি এতো টাকা নেন? কিন্তু এতো টাকা তো নেয়ার কথা না।আমি শোনেছি কলকাতায় ভেলুদা গোয়েন্দাগিরি করেন।তিনি তো এতো টাকা নেন না।আপনি কেন এতো টাকা নেন?"
- দেখুন, কলকাতায় ভেলুদা নিজের মতো করে গোয়েন্দাগিরি করেন।আর আমি বাংলাদেশে আমার মতো গোয়েন্দাগিরি করি। আমাদের দুজনের তদন্তের পদ্ধতিও আলাদা এবং টাকার পরিমাণও আলাদা।
- আমি আপনাকে এমন একটা প্রস্তাব দেব,যাতে আপনি অনেক সম্মান,ক্ষমতা, টাকা প্রায় সবই পাবেন।যেটার পরিমাণ আপনার তদন্তের টাকার চেয়েও বেশি।
একথা শোনে আরজে চৌধুরী আগ্ৰহের সাথে বলল,"বিষয়টা কী?"
ওয়াসকুরুনি ভাবলেন,"যাক, কথায় আমিই জিতে গেলাম।" এরপর আরজে চৌধুরীকে তিনি বললেন,"আপনাকে আমি খেলাফত প্রদান করব।এর ফলে আপনিও আমার মতো পির হতে পারবেন।এবং টাকা,ক্ষমতা,সম্মান ও সম্পত্তির মালিক হতে পারবেন।"
একথা বলে ওয়াসকুরুনি মনে করেছিলেন যে,এটা শোনে আরজে চৌধুরী রাজি হবে। কিন্তু ওয়াসকুরুনিকে চমকে দিয়ে আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"পির হওয়ার জন্য আমি চেম্বার খুলে বসি নি। টাকা রোজগারের জন্য গোয়েন্দাগিরির চেম্বার খোলেছি।"
ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“কিন্তু যৌবনে কালের ধর্মকর্ম তো অনেক বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।”
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,“আমি অবশ্যই এটা স্বীকার করি। কিন্তু যৌবন কালের পিরালির বাধ্যতা তো কোথাও নাই।”
ওয়াসকুরুনি এবার একটা দীর্ঘশ্বাস ফেলে বললেন,"ইউরোপে ফাদার গ্ৰাউন পাদ্রিগিরিও করেন , আবার গোয়েন্দাগিরিও করেন। তাহলে আপনি পিরালির পাশাপাশি গোয়েন্দাগিরি করতে পারবেন না কেন?"
আরজে চৌধুরীও বলল,"আমি পারব।তবে আমার এই বয়সে পিরগিরি করে যৌবনটাকে খানকাহর চার দেয়ালের মাঝে বন্দি করে রাখতে চাই না। আচ্ছা,আমার মাধ্যমে যদি আপনি তদন্ত করাতে চান,তাহলে টাকা দেন।"
এবার ওয়াসকুরুনি কথা না বাড়িয়ে আরজে চৌধুরীকে টাকা দিলেন।টাকা নিয়ে আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"আপনার ঠিকানাটা দেন।যদিও ইউটিউবে আপনার বাবার হত্যাকাণ্ডের খবর দেখেছি এবং আপনাদের ঠিকিনাও শোনেছি,তা সত্ত্বেও আপনি ঠিকানাটা দেন।"
তখন আরজে চৌধুরীকে ওয়াসকুরুনি নিজের ঠিকানাটা একটা কাগজে লিখে দিয়ে চলে গেলেন।
২. জামালপুরের গাধাশালে।
পরদিন আরজে চৌধুরী চলে গেল জামালপুরের গাধাশালে।
গাধাশালে গিয়ে ওয়াসকুরুনিকে আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"আপনার বাবা যেখানে খুন হয়েছেন,সেখানে আমাকে নিয়ে চলুন।"
ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,"দেখুন কয়েক দিন পর আমাদের বাড়িতে বাৎসরিক ওরশ মাহফিল হবে,তাতে আমাকে ব্যস্ত থাকতে হবে।তাই আমি আপনাকে সময় দিতে পারব না। কিন্তু আপনার সাথে আমি আমার ভাগ্নে ফরিদকে দিয়ে দিচ্ছি।আপনাকে সে সহযোগিতা করবে।"
তাই আরজে চৌধুরীকে নিয়ে ফরিদ উপস্থিত হলো পির সাহেব খুন হওয়ার স্থানে।পির সাহেবের বাড়ির এরিয়াতে চারটা ঘর।একটা তিন তলা,আরেকটা দোতলা আর বাকি দুটো একতলা করে বিল্ডিং।পির সাহেব খুন হয়েছেন তিন তলা বিল্ডিংয়ের দুতলায় নিজের রুমে।
ফরিদকে বলার পর আরজে চৌধুরীকে সে রুমের দরজাটা খুলে দিলো।
রুমের ভেতর ঢোকার পর আরজে চৌধুরীকে ফরিদ বলল,"ডিবি পুলিশ এসে পুরো রুমটাই তল্লাশি করেছে।ওরা কী কী পেয়েছে সেটা আমরা জানি না।"
আরজে চৌধুরী নিজস্ব পদ্ধতিতে পুরো রুমটা তল্লাশি করল।পকেট থেকে একটা আতশি কাঁচ বের করে বিশেষ বিশেষ স্থান খুব ভালো করে পরীক্ষা করল।এরপর জানালা দিয়ে বাইরে তাকিয়ে দেখল,বিশাল এক মাঠ।তাতে বড় বড় ঘাস জন্মে আছে।
এটা দেখে ফরিদকে আরজে চৌধুরী জিজ্ঞেস করল,"এতো বড় মাঠে এভাবে ঘাস করে রেখেছে কেন? এগুলো তো বিদেশি ঘাস।তোমাদের কি ডেইরি ফার্ম আছে?"
ফরিদ বলল,"হ্যাঁ। এগুলো হচ্ছে বিদেশি ঘাসের বীজ থেকে উৎপাদিত ঘাস। বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশের অনেক এগ্ৰো কোম্পানি এগুলোর বীজ আমদানি করে।এবং প্যাকেট করে বিক্রি করে।"
আরজে চৌধুরী জিজ্ঞেস করল,"কবে থেকে তোমরা এ ঘাস চাষ করছো?"
ফরিদ বলল,"কয়েক বছর হলো।আচ্ছা,আমার মামা গদ্দিনিশিন পির ওয়াসকুরুনি এটা কী করলেন?ডিবি পুলিশ বিষয়টা তদন্ত করছে,অথচ তিনি এতো টাকা খরচ করে আপনাকে হায়ার করলেন কেন?বিষয়টা বুঝলাম না।অথচ একজন ডিবি সদস্য বলেছেন,যত দ্রুত সম্ভব আসামি ধরে ফেলবেন, এরপর একটা সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনের আয়োজন করবেন।এবং ডিবি কার্যালয়ে একটা বুফের আয়োজন করবেন।তাতে ছোট মাছের চচ্চরি থেকে শুরু করে গরুর মাংসের রেজালা ও মাটন রোগান জোস পর্যন্তও থাকবে।আচ্ছা,আপনি এককাজ করেন,আমার নানার মার্ডারের তদন্ত বাদ দেন।আপনাকে মামা যে টাকা দিয়েছেন,এর থেকে অর্ধেক টাকা আমাকে দিয়ে দেন।আর ওদিকে ডিবি পুলিশ তদন্ত করে খুনিকে বের করতে থাকুক।আর আসামি ধরার পর আপনিও আমার সাথে ডিবি কার্যালয়ে গিয়ে বুফে খাবেন।বলেন,আপনি ডিবি কার্যালয়ের বুফেতে গিয়ে কী কী খাইতে চান? "
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"আমি টাকা নিয়েছি।অতএব তদন্ত শেষ করব।ডিবি কার্যালয়ে গিয়ে বুফে খাওয়ার আমার শখও নাই,দরকারও নাই।"
একথা বলে আরজে চৌধুরী সিঁড়ি বেয়ে নিচে নেমে এলো।
৩. ডেইরি ফার্মে কিছুক্ষণ।
ডেইরি ফার্মের রাস্তা দিয়ে আরজে চৌধুরী হাঁটতে লাগল।আর পিছনে যেতে লাগল ফরিদ।
ডেইরি ফার্মে গিয়ে দেখে কয়েকজন লোক কেটে আনা ঘাস ছোট ছোট করে কাটছে।আরেকজন গরুর গোবর খাদিতে (বাঁশের তৈরি) করে ফেলে আসছে।
সেই লোকটা কাছে এলে আরজে চৌধুরী জিজ্ঞেস করল,“আপনারা এ গরুগুলো কোথা থেকে আমদানি করেছেন?”
লোকটা বলল,“এগুলো বিভিন্ন স্থানের ভক্তদের কাছ থেকে পাওয়া হাদিয়ার গরু।তবে ফার্মে আনার আগে আমরা সেগুলো গ্ৰেডিং করে নিই।যেগুলো সবচেয়ে বেশি সুস্থ,সবল ও মোটাতাজা,সেগুলোকে আমরা ডেইরি ফার্মে রাখি।এরপর যেগুলো তুলনামূলকভাবে দুর্বল সেগুলোকে বাজারে বিক্রি করে দিই।আর যেগুলো আধামরা সেগুলোকে ওরশ উপলক্ষ্যে কুরবানি করে আগত ভক্তদেরকে খাওয়ানো হয়,তবে অবশ্য বিনা পয়সায় না,বরং হাদিয়ার বিনিময়েই খাওয়ানো হয়।আর হাদিয়াটা টাকা ও জিনিসপত্র উভয়ই।”
একথা শোনার পর লোকটাকে ফরিদ বলল,"এ ব্যাটা তবারক,কী বলছিস? তুই ব্যাটা ফার্মের গোবর ফেলিস,অথচ অচেনা মানুষের সামনে গরুর ডাক্তার হওয়ার ভাব ধরিস?"
একথা শোনার পর আরজে চৌধুরীকে তবারক বলল,"স্যার,বিশটা টাকা দেন।"
তবারককে আরজে চৌধুরী বিশটা টাকা দেয়ার পর লোককা বলল,"স্যার,আপনার কাছে কি আর টাকা নাই?"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"কিছু খুচরা টাকা আছে।"
তবারক বলল,"কোত্থেকে এ সকল ফকিন্নির পোলারা যে আসে?"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"আমার পকেটে খুচরা কিছু টাকা আছে।এবং বিকাশ,নগদ ও রকেট একাউন্টে দশ লাখ টাকার চেয়ে বেশি টাকা আছে।"
"ও,আচ্ছা।তাহলে আপনি ফকিন্নি না।" একথা বলে তবারক গোবর ফেলার জন্য চলে গেলো।
৪. বেয়াদবের গোষ্ঠী।
তবারক চলে গেলে ফরিদ বলল,"এই শালা একটা বেয়াদব।ওর বাপও ছিলো বেয়াদব,ওর দাদাও ছিলো বেয়াদব।"
একথা বলে আরজে চৌধুরীকে ফরিদ ফার্মের পিছনে নিয়ে গেলো।সেখানে দুটো কবর দেখিয়ে বলল,"এটা ওর বাবার কবর,আর ওটা ওর দাদার কবর।ওর বাবা ছিলো আমার নানার খাদেম আর ওর দাদা ছিলো আমার নানার বাবার খাদেম।এখন সে হয়েছে আমার মামা ওয়াসকুরুনির খাদেম। কিন্তু সেও আমার মামার মন পাবে না।যেরকম ওয়াসকুরুনি মামার বাবা-দাদার মন পায় নি ওর বাপ-দাদা। কেননা,ওদের গোষ্ঠীটাই হচ্ছে বেয়াদবের গোষ্ঠী।"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"তাহলে এই বেয়াদবের গোষ্ঠীদেরকে তোমরা খাদেম হিসেবে কেন রেখেছো?"
ফরিদ বলল,"গরুর গোবর ফেলার জন্য।ওরা না থাকলে গরুর গোবর ফেলবে কে? তাই ওদেরকে আমরা বংশ পরম্পরায় রেখে দিয়েছি।যদিও ওরা বেয়াদবের গোষ্ঠী।"
৫. ডাক্তার সাহেবের মাস্টার প্ল্যানিং।
আরজে চৌধুরী দূরে কতগুলো পুকুর দেখিয়ে বলল,"ওইটা কি মাছের খামার?"
ফরিদ বলল,"ঠিকই বলেছেন।আমরা মাছ চাষও করি।"
মাছের খামারের দিকে যেতে যেতে আরজে মুচকি হেসে বলল,"তোমাদের মাছের খামারের মাছও কি ভক্তরা দিয়ে যায়।"
একথা শোনে ফরিদও মুচকি হেসে বলল,"আরে না।তবে এটাও যদি সম্ভব হতো,তাহলে সেটাও ভক্তদের মাধ্যমে আমরা হাদিয়া হিসেবে আনাতাম।"
আরজে চৌধুরী আর ফরিদকে দেখে আরেকজন এগুতে লাগল। কিন্তু কাছে এলেই তাকে ফরিদ ধমক দিয়ে বলল,"যাঃ যাঃ,কাজে যাঃ।"
আরজে চৌধুরী দেখল একজন লোক জাল দিয়ে ধরা মাছ পরীক্ষা করে দেখছেন।এট দেখে ফরিদকে আরজে চৌধুরী জিজ্ঞেস করল,"তিনি কে?"
ফরিদ বলল,"তিনি হচ্ছেন আমাদের ডেইরি ফার্ম ও মাছের খামারের ডাক্তার।তিনি চট্টগ্ৰাম ভেটেরিনারি ভার্সিটি থেকে পাশ করা ডিভিএম ডাক্তার।"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"তিনিকে মাসে কত টাকা বেতন দাও?"
ফরিদ বলল,"কোন বেতন দেয়া হয় না।তিনি পেটে-ভাতে আমাদের এখানে ডাক্তারি করেন।"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"তাহলে তিনি কোন উদ্দেশ্যে এখানে ডাক্তারি করেন?"
ফরিদ বলল,"তিনি মূলত ভবিষ্যতে পির হওয়ার জন্যই এখানে ডাক্তারি করেন।"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"একজন পশু ডাক্তার পির হবে?"
ফরিদ বলল,"আমরা যদি পিরালির খেলাফতি দেই,তাহলে তিনিই পির হতে পারবেন।সেটা মানুষের ডাক্তারই হোক অথবা গরুর ডাক্তারই হোক।"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"ডাক্তারের সাথে কি কথা বলতে পারব?"
ফরিদ বলল,"অবশ্যই।"
একথা বলে আরজে চৌধুরীকে ফরিদ নিয়ে গেল ডাক্তারের কাছে।
ডাক্তার সাহেবকে আরজে চৌধুরী জিজ্ঞেস করল,"আপনি তো ডিভিএম ডাক্তার। তাহলে এখানে পেটে ভাতে চাকরি করছেন কেন?"
ডাক্তার সাহেব বললেন,"দেখুন,আমি একজন ডাক্তার।আমি আমার বাড়িতে গরুর ফার্ম,ছাগলের ফার্ম,মুরগির ফার্ম ও মাছের খামার করব। মোটকথা আমার বাড়িটাকে আমি খামারসহ একটা রিসোর্টে পরিণত করব। কিন্তু অবসর সময়ে তো একটা কিছু করতে হবে,তাই আমি ভবিষ্যতে একজন পির হয়ে খামারও পরিচালনা করব ও মানুষের পিরালিও করব।"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"বাহ্,আপনি তো আগে থেকেই পরিকল্পনা করে রেখেছেন।"
ডাক্তার সাহেব বললেন,"অবশ্যই।একেবারে মাস্টার প্ল্যানিং।"
৬. ঘরের ভেতর আরজে চৌধুরী।
ফরিদের সাথে আরজে চৌধুরী চলে এলো থাকার ঘরে।
আরজে চৌধুরীর থাকার ঘরের জানালা দিয়ে দেখা যাচ্ছে গদ্দিনিশিন পির ওয়াসকুরুনির ঘর আর ওর বাবার সেই ঘর,যে ঘরে পির সাহেব খুন হয়েছেন।
ফরিদকে আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"ফরিদ,তুমি এখন তোমার কাজে যাও।আমি এখন কাজ করব।"
ফরিদ ঘর থেকে বের হওয়ার পর আরজে চৌধুরী দরজা আটকে সংগ্ৰহ করা সেম্পল পরীক্ষা করতে লাগলো।অনেক ক্ষণ পর আরজে চৌধুরী সংগ্ৰহ করা সেম্পলগুলো একটা প্যাকেটে রেখে ঘুমিয়ে পড়ল।
৭. জঙ্গলের ওপারে।
আবার বিকাল বেলা আরজে চৌধুরী ঘুম থেকে উঠে বাইরে ঘুরতে বের হলো।ঘুরতে ঘুরতে একটা জঙ্গলের মধ্য দিয়ে আরজে চৌধুরী চলল বাজারের দিকে।
কিছুক্ষণ হাঁটার পর আরজে চৌধুরী টের পেল কে যেন তাকে ফলো করছে।তাই সে পিছনে ফিরে দেখে ডাক্তার সাহেব চুপি চুপি আরজে চৌধুরীকে ফলো করে পিছন পিছন আসছে।
ডাক্তার সাহেবকে আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"কী ব্যাপার? আপনি আমার পিছন পিছন এভাবে আসছেন কেন?"
ডাক্তার সাহেব থতমত খেয়ে বললেন,"না,না।তেমন কিছু না।আপনাকে দেখলাম তো জঙ্গলে ঢুকছেন,তাই ভাবলাম দেখি আপনি জঙ্গলে কী করছেন?"
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,"জঙ্গলে কিছুই করব না। তবে জঙ্গলের ওপারের বাজারে যাচ্ছি চা-নাস্তা খাওয়ার জন্য।আসুন আমার সাথে,আমরা দোকানে চা খাব।"
একথা বলে ডাক্তার সাহেবকে সাথে নিয়ে আরজে চৌধুরী চলল জঙ্গলের ওপারে।
৮. চায়ের দোকানে।
ডাক্তার বাবুকে সাথে নিয়ে আরজে চৌধুরী গিয়ে বসল চায়ের দোকানে।
এরপর ড্রাই কেক আর চা খাইতে খাইতে আরজে চৌধুরী দোকানদারকে আরজে চৌধুরী জীজ্ঞেস করল,"আচ্ছা,খুন হওয়া পির সাহেব সম্পর্কে আপনি কতটুকু জানেন?"
দোকানদার বলল,"তিনিরা হচ্ছেন বংশ পরম্পরায় পির। তিনিদের মতো ধনী পির বাংলাদেশে খুব কমই আছে। তিনিদের সাথে এ এলাকার লোকজনের সম্পর্ক তেমন ভালো ছিলো না। কিন্তু শোনেছি বর্তমান গদ্দিনিশিন পির সাহেব এলাকার মানুষের সাথে সম্পর্ক আরো ভালো করবেন।"
চা খাওয়ার পর আরজে চৌধুরী বিল পরিশোধ করে ডাক্তার সাহেবকে সাথে নিয়ে চলে এলো ওয়াসকুরুনির বাড়িতে। ততক্ষণে রাত হয়ে গিয়েছে।
ডাক্তার সাহেব চলে গেলেন নিজের ঘরে আর আরজে চৌধুরী প্রবেশ করলো নিজের ঘরে।
রাতের খাবার এলে আরজে চৌধুরী খাওয়া শেষ করে কিছুক্ষণ পায়চারি করে ঘুমিয়ে পড়লো।
৯. খুনি ধরা পড়লো।
রাত দুটো পেরিয়ে গেছে বেশ কিছুক্ষণ হলো। ওয়াসকুরুনি ঘুম থেকে উঠে ওয়াসরুম থেকে এলেন।
বিছানায় এবার উঠতে শুরু করেছে,এমন সময় গুলির আওয়াজ শোনে ওয়াসকুরুনি ভয়ে কেঁপে উঠলেন।
তিনি তাড়াতাড়ি জানালার কাছে গিয়ে নিচে তাকিয়ে দেখলেন,উঠানের এক কোণে আরজে চৌধুরী পিস্তল তাক করে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে।
আর যার দিকে আরজে চৌধুরী পিস্তল তাক করে আছে,তাকে দেখে ওয়াসকুরুনির সারা শরীরে লোম খাড়া হয়ে গিয়েছে।
সে হচ্ছে ওয়াসকুরুনিদের বংশ পরম্পরায় বিশ্বস্ত খাদেম তবারক।
এটা দেখে ওয়াসকুরুনি তাড়াতাড়ি নিচে নামতে শুরু করলেন।তিনি ভাবলেন,হয়তো আরজে চৌধুরী ভুল করে তবারকের দিকে পিস্তল তাক করে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে।
ওয়াসকুরুনি আরজে চৌধুরীর কাছে গিয়ে বললেন,“আপনি এটা কী করছেন?আমার বিশ্বস্ত খাদেম তবারককে আপনি গুলি করেছেন?আর এখন তাকে আটকে রেখেছেন?”
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,“হতে পারে তবারক আপনার বিশ্বস্ত খাদেম। কিন্তু সে-ই আপনার বাবাকে হত্যা করেছে।এবং এখন এসেছে আপনাকে হত্যা করার জন্য।”
একথা শোনে ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“আমি আপনার কথা মোটেও বিশ্বাস করি না। আপনার কোথাও হয়তো ভুল হয়েছে।”
এরই মধ্যে ওয়াসকুরুনিকে তাক করে তবারক হাতে থাকা এক ফুট লম্বা ছোরাটা ওয়াসকুরুনির দিকে ছুঁড়ে মারলো।
কিন্তু ছোরাটা মাঝ পথে থাকতেই আরজে চৌধুরী গ্লক নাইনটিন পিস্তল দিয়ে গুলি করল।গুলির আঘাতে পিস্তলটা অনেক দূরে পতিত হলো।
ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“এখন আমার বিশ্বাস হয়েছে, আমার বাবাকে তবারকই খুন করেছে।”
ওয়াসকুরুনির কথা শেষ হতে না হতেই ডাক্তার সাহেব কোত্থেকে একটা রামদা হাতে নিয়ে তবারকের দিকে তেড়ে এলেন।
১০. গোয়েন্দার উপর বাটপাড়ি।
এটা দেখে আরজে চৌধুরী পিস্তল দিয়ে ডাক্তার সাহেবের হাতে থাকা রাম দাতেও গুলি করল।ফলে ডাক্তার সাহেবের রাম দাটাও হাত থেকে ছুটে গেলো।
ডাক্তার সাহেবকে ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“তোমার হাতে রাম দা কেন?তুমি কি তবারককে খুন করতে চাও?”
ডাক্তার সাহেব বললেন,“হ্যাঁ। কেননা, আপনার বাবার কাছ থেকে আমি অনেক আগেই খেলাফতি পেতাম। কিন্তু আপনার বাবাকে তবারক বলেছিলো,‘আমরা বংশ পরম্পরায় আপনাদের খেদমতে নিয়োজিত। কিন্তু আমদের কেউই খেলাফত পাই নি। কিন্তু কোথাকার কোন গরুর ডাক্তার এসে খেলাফতি পাবে-এটা তো হয় না।’ একথা শোনে আমাকে আপনার বাবা খেলাফতি দেয় নি।তাই আমি সংকল্প করেছিলাম,তবারককে আমি খুন করব।”
ডাক্তার সাহেবকে আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,“তাহলে জঙ্গলে চুপি চুপি আমাকে ফলো করেছিলেন কেন?”
ডাক্তার সাহেব বললেন,“গোয়েন্দাগিরি করার জন্য।”
ডাক্তার সাহেবকে ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“তুমি কী বুঝাতে চাচ্ছ?”
ডাক্তার সাহেব বললেন,“আরজে চৌধুরীকে আমি ফলো করছিলাম আমি কারণে যে,সে যাকে খুনি হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করবে,তাকেই আমি আগে ধরে ফেলব। অর্থাৎ আসামি চিহ্নিত করবে আরজে চৌধুরী, কিন্তু আসামি ধরে আমি কৃতিত্ব নেব।”
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,“তাহলে কি আপনি একাধারে ডাক্তার,পির, গোয়েন্দা, খামারের মালিক হতে চাচ্ছেন?”
ডাক্তার সাহেব বললেন,“জ্বি,আমি সেটাই হতে চাই।”
ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“এটা হতে চূয়ে তো তুমি গোয়েন্দার উপর বাটপাড়ি করলে।”
১১. তবারকের স্বীকারোক্তি।
তবারককে আরজে চৌধুরী জিজ্ঞেস করল,“তোমরা তো বংশ পরম্পরায় ওয়াসকুরুনিদের খাদেম। তাহলে তুমি কেন ওয়াসকুরুনির বাবাকে খুন করলে?”
ওয়াসকুরুনি বলতে লাগল,“এ বাড়িগুলো সহ আপনি যে সকল জমির দেখেছেন,সকল জমির মালিক ছিলেন আমার দাদা। একদিন নোয়াখালীর চরজব্বর থেকে এক লোক এসে আমার দাদাকে বলল,‘আমি কামেল পির।যদি তুমি নাজাত পেতে চাও,তাহলে আমার খাদেম হও।’একথা শোনে তিনি ওই পিরের মুরিদ হয়ে খাদেম হলেন। কিছুদিন পর আমার দাদাকে ওই পির বললেন,‘তোমার খেদমত ঠিক মতো হচ্ছে না।যদি তুমি আমার সাচ্চা খাদেম হতে চাও,তাহলে তোমার সকল সম্পত্তি আমাকে দলিল করে দিয়ে দাও।বিনিময়ে তুমি আমার খেলাফতি পেয়ে আমার চেয়ে বড় পির হয়ে দুনিয়াতে পরিচিত হবে।’আমার দাদা বিরাট সম্পত্তির মালিক ছিলেন। কিন্তু তিনির বইপত্রের জ্ঞান ছিলো না।এমনকি বাস্তবের অনেক জটিলতাও তিনি বুঝতেন না।তাই ওই পিরের কথায় আমার দাদা সেটাই করলেন।এরপর থেকে শুরু হলো আমার দাদার গোলামি। গরুর গোবর ফেলা থেকে শুরু করে সকল ধরনের নিকৃষ্ট কাজগুলো আমার দাদাকে দিয়ে করানো হতো।আর ওরশ উপলক্ষ্যে আগত লোকজনের সামনে আমার দাদাকে কারণে এবং অকারণে ওই পির হেয় করা শুরু করলেন।ওই পির হচ্ছেন এই ওয়াসকুরুনির দাদা।”
একথা শোনে তবারককে ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“এ ব্যাটা,তুই আমার দাদা সম্পর্কে এসব কী বলছিস?আমার দাদা তোর দাদার সম্পত্তি নিয়ে তোদেরকে ধন্য করেছিলেন।”
ওয়াসকুরুনিকে আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,“তবারককে বলতে দেন।”
তবারক বলতে লাগল,“তা সত্ত্বেও আমার দাদা সকল কিছুই সহ্য করতে লাগলেন শুধুমাত্র খেলাফতি পেয়ে পির হওয়ার আশায়। কিন্তু আশা বাস্তবে পরিণত হয় নি।একদিন পির সাহব মারা গেলেন।পিরের বদলে পির হলেন তিনির ছেলে, অর্থাৎ ওয়াসকুরুনির বাবা,যাকে আমি খুন করেছি।আমার দাদা নিজের ছেলের বয়সী পিরের গোলামি করতে লাগলেন,এ আশায় যে,পিরের ছেলের কাছ থেকে খেলাফতি পাবেন। কিন্তু আমার দাদার আশা পূরণ হয় নি। একদিন আমার দাদাও মারা গেলেন।এবার ওয়াসকুরুনির বাবার খাদেম হলেন আমার বাবা। আমার বাবারও এটা আশা ছিলো যে,আমার দাদা খেলাফতি না পেলেও আমার বাবা খেলাফতি পাবেন। কিন্তু আমার বাবারও সে আশা পূরণ হয় নি। আমার বাবাও একদিন মারা গেলেন।এবার আমি হলাম ওয়াসকুরুনির বাবার খাদেম। কিন্তু আমি আমার বাপ দাদার মতো গোলামি করতে মনে মনে অস্বীকার করলাম।এর বদলে ওয়াসকুরুনির বাবাকে হত্যা করার পরিকল্পনা করলাম।এবং জানালা দিয়ে রুমের ভেতরে ঢোকে তাকে হত্যা করলাম।আর আজ এলাম ওয়াসকুরুনিকে হত্যা করার জন্য। কিন্তু আরজে চৌধুরী আমাকে ধরে ফেললেন।”
১২. কীভাবে বুঝলেন?
এবার তবারককে আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,“তবারক,তুমি যে গুলো বললে,সে গুলো সত্যও হতে পারে আবার মিথ্যাও হতে পারে।তোমার কথা আমরা বিশ্বাস করি আর না করি,সেটাও কোন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় না।বরং এটাই সবচেয়ে বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় যে, ওয়াসকুরুনির বাবাকে তুমি খুন করেছো এবং এখন তুমি ওয়াসকুরুনিকে খুন করতে এসে ধরা পড়েছো।তোমার যদি আত্নপক্ষ সমর্থনের ইচ্ছা থাকে,তাহলে তুমি সেটা আদালতে জজ সাহেবের সামনে বলিও।”
একথা বলে তবারককে আরজে চৌধুরী কয়েক জন লোকের মাধ্যমে থানায় পাঠিয়ে দিলো।
আরজে চৌধুরীকে এবার ওয়াসকুরুনি জিজ্ঞেস করলেন,“আপনি কীভাবে বুঝলেন যে,তবারকই আমার বাবার খুনি?”
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,“আপনার বাবার রুম তল্লাশি করার সময় জানালায় গোবরের গন্ধ পাই।আতশি কাচ দিয়ে ভালো করে পরীক্ষা করে দেখলাম,জানালায় খুবই সুক্ষ্মভাবে গোবর লেগে আছে।তাই বুঝলাম, গরুর গোবরের কাজের সাথে যুক্ত লোকই আপনার বাবাকে খুন করেছে।আর ডেইরি ফার্মে গিয়ে দেখলাম তবারক নামক লোকটা গরুর গোবর ফেলার কাজ করে। অর্থাৎ আমি চিহ্নিত করলাম যে,তবারকই আপনার বাবাকে খুন করেছে। কিন্তু তাকে ধরতে তো হবে।আমি আরো দেখলাম,গোবর ফেলার কাজের মধ্যেই তবারক বারবার আপনার ঘরের জানালার দিকে তাকাচ্ছে।এতে আমি বুঝলাম,সে রাতে আপনাকে খুন করার জন্য আসবে।তাই রাতের বেলা ওঁত পেতে রইলাম তাকে ধরার জন্য।এবং তাকে ধরেও ফেললাম।”
১৩. আরজে চৌধুরী যাকে ভয় পায়।
সকালে আরজে চৌধুরী নিজের জিনিসপত্র নিয়ে বের হলো।
সেটা দেখে ওয়াসকুরুনি বলল,“আপনি কি চলে যাচ্ছেন?”
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,“জ্বি,আমি চলে যাচ্ছি।”
ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“আপনি থাকেন।আমাদের দরবারের ওরশটা করে যান।”
আরজে চৌধুরী বলল,“না। আমার অনেক কাজ আছে।”
ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“যদি আপনাকে যেতে না দেই?”
আরজে চৌধুরী মুচকি হেসে বলল,“আমাকে আপনি থামানোর চেষ্টা করতে পারেন। কিন্তু আমি একমাত্র সে রকম মানুষকে ভয় পাই,যিনিরা আমাকে মেরে ফেলার ক্ষমতার অধিকারী। একমাত্র এ ধরনের মানুষ যদি আমার সামনে বাঁধা হয়,তাহলেই আমি থামি অথবা অন্যপথে চলে যাই অথবা ফিরে এসে আবার নতুন করে অন্যপথে শুরু করি।”
ওয়াসকুরুনি শুনেছিলো,আদিকালে ত্রেতা যুগের ঋষিগণ মন্ত্র উচ্চারণ করতেন একেবারে হৃদয়ের গভীর থেকে সাচ্চা মনে। এতোদিন ওয়াসকুরুনি সেটা কোথাও দেখেননি।
কিন্তু এখন ওয়াসকুরুনির মনে হচ্ছে,ত্রেতা যুগের কোন এক ঋষি এসেই যেন তিনিকে একথাটা বললেন।
হ্যাঁ,আরজে চৌধুরীকে ঠেকানোর সাধ্য ওয়াসকুরুনির নাই।যার সাথে অটোমেটিক গ্লক নাইনটিন পিস্তল আছে। ছুঁড়ে মারা ছোরাকে মাঝ পথেই যে গুলি করে দূরে ফেলে দিতে পারে,তাকে ঠেকানোর সাধ্য ওয়াসকুরুনির নাই।
তাই আরজে চৌধুরীকে পরাজিতের সুরে ওয়াসকুরুনি বলল,“না,আপনাকে আমি থামাব না।”
এরপর আরজে চৌধুরী ফিরে চলল।
১৪. বুফে খাওয়া হবে না।
আরজে চৌধুরী চলে যাওয়ার পর ওয়াসকুরুনিকে ফরিদ বলল,“মামা,আমার কি বুফে খাওয়া হবে না?”
ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“না,বুফে খাওয়া হবে না।আমাদের ওরশে তোকে রান্না ঘরে নিয়ে বসিয়ে দেব।তি যত পারিস, গরুর গোস্ত খাবি।”
ফরিদ বলল,“কেন মামা?যিনিরা ডিবি কার্যালয়ে গিয়ে খাবার খায়,তিনিরা কি খারাপ?”
ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“না।তিনিরা ভালো মানুষ। কিন্তু আইনগত কাজের মধ্যে খাবারের সময় হয়ে যাওয়ার কারণে তিনিদেরকে ডিবি কার্যালয়ে খাওয়ানো হয়।তা না হলে,শখের বশে কেউ ডিবি কার্যালয়ে গিয়ে খাবার খায় না।”
১৫. ডাক্তার সাহেব চাকরিতে চলে গেলেন।
এরই মধ্যে ডাক্তার সাহেবও ওর জিনিসপত্র নিয়ে উপস্থিত হলো।
ডাক্তার সাহেবকে ওয়াসকুরুনি জিজ্ঞেস করলেন,“তুমি কোথায় যাচ্ছ?”
ডাক্তার সাহেব বললেন,“আমি এখন চাকরি করব।পিরালি করলেও বুড়া বয়সে করব।এখন আমি চলে যাচ্ছি।”
ওয়াসকুরুনি বললেন,“তাতো যাবেই।ইয়াবার কারবার করে র্যাবের তাড়া খেয়ে আমার বাবার দরবারে এসেছো।এরপর পেটে-ভাতে কাজ করা শুরু করলে।এখন বিপদও কেটে গিয়েছে,আর তুমিও চলে যাচ্ছ।”
