Doctor Babu said, "Look, my head is already mad after taking four yaba tablets. So, if I abuse you from now on, don't put me in the crossfire."
Colonel Bachchu said, "I understood the matter beforehand. That's why I didn't put you in the crossfire. Besides, putting you in the crossfire for abusing me would have turned into personal hatred, not patriotism. And I have not yet become such a big bastard as to turn personal hatred into treason and put someone in the crossfire."
Major Mofiz said, "Sir, there was an opportunity to cross fire. But you did not cross fire, why did you deliberately abuse?"
Colonel Bachchu said, "Seeing the behavior of Dr. Babu, I understood that there is a problem. I first suspected that he had taken drugs. However more than this, we make yaba in Bangladesh. And when we sell yaba to other traders, we say that they are from Myanmar. And smuggling from India. As a result, they don't even know that they are made in Bangladesh. Finally, when they are arrested by law enforcement, they unknowingly say that they were given by yaba traders in India and Myanmar.
— What is the benefit of doing this?
— The biggest benefit is that we can be safe. Be it RAB or police, it is impossible to catch drug dealers from India or Myanmar beyond the borders of Bangladesh. Therefore, those who are caught, are either given to the court or given to the crossfire.
— Hm, then how did you get a license to administer medicine?
— I managed to get that too. First, we bought Ruh Afza Sherbat from Hamdard and poured it into our bottles and sealed the bottle with a machine. Then we submitted it to the drug administration. ডাক্তার বাবু বললেন,"দেখুন,চারটা ইয়াবা ট্যাবলেট খেয়ে আমার মাথা অলরেডি খারাপ হয়ে আছে।তাই এখন থেকে আমি যদি আপনাদেরকে গালিগালাজ দেই,তাহলে আমাকে ক্রস ফায়ারে দেবেন না।"
কর্নেল বাচ্চু বললেন,"বিষয়টা আমি আগেই বুঝতে পেরেছিলাম।তাই আপনাকে আমি ক্রস ফায়ারে দেই নি।তা ছাড়া আমাকে গালিগালাজ করার কারণে আপনাকে ক্রস ফায়ারে দিলে সেটা দেশপ্রেম না,বরং ব্যক্তিগত বিদ্বেষে পরিণত হয়ে যেত।আর ব্যক্তিগত বিদ্বেষকে রাষ্ট্রদ্রোহিতার রূপ দিয়ে কেউকে ক্রস ফায়ারে দেয়ার মতো এতো বড় হারামজাদা এখনো আমি হতে পারি নি। তাছাড়া অন্য একটা কারণ আছে।"
মেজর মফিজ বললেন,"স্যার,ক্রস ফায়ার করার সুযোগ ছিলো। অথচ আপনি ক্রস ফায়ার করলেন না,ইচ্ছা করেই গালিগালাজ খাইলেন কেন?"
কর্নেল বাচ্চু বললেন,"ডাক্তার বাবুর আচরণ দেখেই আমি বুঝেছিলাম,কোন ঝামেলা আছে।আমার প্রথমেই সন্দেহ হয়েছিলো,তিনি মাদক গ্ৰহণ করেছেন।এ অবস্থায় যদি ডাক্তার বাবুকে আমি ক্রস ফায়ার করতাম,তাহলে পরবর্তীতে পোস্টমর্টেমের সময় ডাক্তার বাবুর অর্গানে মাদক পাওয়া যেত।ফলে আমার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ গঠন করা সম্ভব হতো যে,মাদকে বুঁদ হয়ে থাকা একজন নিরস্ত্র মানুষকে আমি ক্রস ফায়ার করেছি।তাই আমাকে ডাক্তার বাবু গালিগালাজ করা সত্ত্বেও কিছুই করি নি।"
মেজর মফিজ বললেন,"স্যার, ক্রস ফায়ার করার আগে আপনি তো দেখছি অনেক চিন্তা করে নেন।"
কর্নেল বাচ্চু বললেন,"যখন চিন্তা করে নেয়ার,তখন চিন্তা করি। কিন্তু কেউ যদি অস্ত্র তাক করে গুলি করে,তখন আমিও কোন রকম চিন্তা না করেই সরাসরি গুলি করি।"
এবার ডাক্তার বাবুকে কর্নেল বাচ্চু বললেন,"তাহলে বলুন, আপনার সালসায় কী মেশান?"
ডাক্তার বাবু বললেন," ইয়াবার যে উপাদান,সেটাই আমি আমার সালসায় মেশাই।"
- তাহলে কি ত্রিপুরার লোকটার দেয়া পাউডারটা কি ইয়াবার উপাদান?
- কীসের ত্রিপুরার লোক? এগুলো আমরাই দেশীয় পদ্ধতিতে তৈরি করি। কিন্তু আইন বাহিনীকে বিভ্রান্ত করার জন্য ভারত ও মিয়ানমারের নাম ভাঙ্গাই।হ্যাঁ, মিয়ানমার থেকে ইয়াবা আসে,এটা সত্য। কিন্তু এর চেয়ে বেশি পরিমাণে ইয়াবা আমরা বাংলাদেশেই তৈরি করি।আর যখন অন্য কারবারিদের কাছে আমারা ইয়াবা বিক্রি করি, তখন বলে দেই যে, এগুলো মিয়ানমার ও ভারত থেকে পাচার করা।ফলে,ওরা জানতেও পারে না যে, এগুলো বাংলাদেশেই তৈরি। অবশেষে যখন ওরা আইন বাহিনীর হাতে গ্ৰেফতার হয়,তখন নিজের অজান্তেই বলে দেয়,এগুলো ভারত ও মিয়ানমারের ইয়াবা কারবারিরা দিয়েছে।
- এরকম করে আপনাদের কী লাভ?
- সবচেয়ে বড় লাভ হলো,আমরা নিরাপদে থাকতে পারি।র্যাব হোক অথবা পুলিশ হোক, বাংলাদেশের সীমানার বাইরে গিয়ে ভারত অথবা মিয়ানমারের মাদক কারবারি ধরা তো অসম্ভব।তাই শেষে যাদেরকে ধরে,তাদেরকে হয় আদালতে দেয় , না হয় ক্রস ফায়ারে দেয়।
- আচ্ছা,তাহলে ঔষধ প্রশাসনের লাইসেন্স কীভাবে পেলেন?
- সেটাও কৌশল করে পেয়েছি। প্রথমে হামদর্দের রুহ আফজা শরবত কিনে সেগুলো আমাদের বোতলে ঢেলে মেশিন দিয়ে বোতলের ছিপি আটকে নিয়েছি।এরপর সেটা ঔষধ প্রশাসনের কাছে জমা দিয়েছি।তিনিরা সেটা পরীক্ষা করে ভালো রেজাল্ট পেলেন আর আমাদেরকেও লাইসেন্স দিয়ে দিলেন।এখন তো লাল আফজা তৈরি করি লাল রং,স্যাকারিন,জেলি,গোলাপ ফুলের কৃত্রিম গন্ধ আর ইয়াবার উপাদান দিয়ে। কিন্তু বোতলের গায়ে লিখে রাখি বিভিন্ন ফুল আর গাছগাছড়ার নাম। চলছিলো ব্যবসাটা ভালোই, কিন্তু আপনারা আজ এসে ধরে ফেললেন।স্যার, ইয়াবার প্রভাবে আপনাদের সাথে ঔদ্ধত্যপূর্ণ আচরণ করেছি। কিন্তু এখন ইয়াবার প্রভাব কমে যাওয়ার ফলে আপনাদেরকে আমার খুবই ভয় করছে।স্যার,আমাকে কি আপনারা ক্রস ফায়ারে দেবেন?
- না। কিন্তু আপনাকে আমরা নিয়ম মতো আদালতে দিয়ে দেব।
