Hearing this, I followed the man. I was taken to a large room in that huge mud house. In that room I saw how many scaffoldings are kept.

"I sat on a loft and realized that it was the drawing room of this huge mud house. After sitting for a long time, I did not hear any response. After a while, Osama opened a door next to the drawing room and brought a large plate of food in his hand and said, 'Brother Dulal, have you come? Sit down and eat.' He closed the door again.I sat down to eat. He put the plate of food in front of me and closed the door again. Yes, it is Osama bin Laden. But Osama is no longer Osama. Usama's life was like that of a prince of the Saudi royal family, whose money other people used to be luxurious. This is the miserable condition of Osama today. Osama's miserable condition today.  "I said, 'Tell me the whole thing.'

"Osama began to say, 'Azzam was talking more and more about me. So I dragged Zawahiri closer to him to reduce his talk. However, when Azzam's talk decreased, his pride grew towards me. One day, Azzam told me, 'I am leaving for Pakistan.' Hearing this, I asked, 'Why?' 'We have fought in Afghanistan through the Pakistan Secret Service (ISI) and they are not inquiring about us now. So I will go and tell them to help us,' Azzam said. After saying this, he left for Pakistan. Later I knew that Azzam went to Peshawar, Pakistan and asked an ISI officer to cooperate. At that time the officer contacted the ISI chief. The ISI chief then told the officer to kill Azzam. Because no Pakistani army officer wants to get involved in the current crisis in Afghanistan. So Azzam was shot dead in Peshawar. Meanwhile, Zawahiri went to the Afghan government to seek his help. Arrangements were made to assassinate him. Zawahiri fled Afghanistan after understanding of the incident. And I was left alone and remained neglected in Afghanistan. After saying this, I saw water glistening in the corners of Osama's eyes.'

 "After talking to Osama, I realized that the money invested in Sudan had been embezzled by the government of that country. The rest of the money was spent on the war in Afghanistan. Osama is almost destitute. On the other hand, even if Osama wanted to, he would not be able to return to his country, Saudi Arabia. Another new fear began to haunt Osama. If the Russians re-occupy Afghanistan, then Osama's last hope will be dashed. In such a situation, Osama's condition is deplorable. As a result, he started to suffer from mental panic.

 "I thought after calling Osama bin Laden, he was asking me to give some of the wealth gained during the Afghan war as a sign of friendship. But now I see that he himself is in a miserable condition. I did not let Osama understand that I do not like the subject. I said, 'Then why participate in the Afghan war?'

 'I did not do it in my mind,' Osama said angrily.

 'I said, 'Then in whose mind did you do it?'

 'Through that CIA agent and on the advice of the Saudi ambassador to Sudan.' Osama said.

 I said, 'How did you meet with that ambassador?'

Osama said,'The money I invested in Sudan was not paid by the Sudanese government. So I went to the Saudi ambassador so that he could lobby for my money through the Saudi government. But he told me to do something big. So that he can say, 'Let's not keep the money of this man.' It is decided that I will fight for investing money in Afghanistan. And at the end of the war, the Afghan government will accept me warmly. Seeing that, the Saudi government will instruct the Sudanese government to pay me. But now I am being ignored by the Afghan government. I was further told that just as Yasser Arafat came from Egypt to become the leader of Palestine, so I can come from Saudi Arabia to become the leader in Afghanistan. Yasser Arafat's actions are similar to ours, which others call militancy. But the question is absurd, why Yasser Arafat was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for working in the same style, but not me, because it is entirely a matter for the Nobel Committee.'

 "Fidel Castro did exactly what with Che Guevara in Cuba, and the Afghan government is doing the same with Osama bin Laden. Che Guevara was living in Cuba after Fidel Castro took power in Cuba. But a rift arose between Che and Fidel over governance, so Fidel Castro expelled Che Guevara from Cuba. Just as Leon Totsky was ousted by Joseph Stalin from the Soviet Union, so is the conflict of power between the communists and the mujahideen."

 I said, "Most communists disbelieve in religion and the afterlife. So they can do whatever they want for power. But what is the reason for the mujahideen to do that?"

 The big hujur said, "The communists do it for their own existence, arrogance, pleasure and greed for power. But the mujahideen do it to compete for good deeds."

 The big hujur gave such an explanation. But the fact of the matter is that the local Afghans have betrayed them by waging war against the Soviet Union by semi-crazy people from different countries.

 The big hujur began to say, "As I was talking to him, Osama's body suddenly began to tremble. I got up to handle Osama in fear. Then Osama said, 'Sit down. I can fix myself.' As Osama trembled, he grabbed a magazine from the Klasinkov rifle. Then he pulled out a cartridge from inside the magazine. The base of the cartridge was opened by pinching it with his fingernails. Then the powder came out from the inside of the cartridge. Osama licked the powder with his palm and ate it. After a while, Osama's trembling stopped. He put the cartridge case in the magazine again. Then Osama said to me, 'I ate some heroin.' I was shocked and asked, 'Why do you take heroin? Don't you know that heroin is a deadly drug?' Osama said, 'I do not eat it for intoxication, but as medicine.' I said, 'How did heroin become a medicine again? Is it permissible?' Osama said, 'After the war, I was suffering from extreme depression. Gradually, it began to affect my body. As a result, my body suddenly started trembling. So an experienced Ayurvedic doctor in this remote area prescribed me a dose of heroin. According to that dose, my trembling fell away.' I asked, 'Where did that experienced Ayurvedic doctor get the heroin?' Osama said, 'Poppy flowers are cultivated in this remote area. Heroin is produced locally from the seeds of that poppy flower. I am a mujahid. I am leaving my country and coming to another country and doing jihad.' 

 "I understand from Osama's words and behavior that he does not care about the rules and even the religious discipline. So now the discussion with Osama is useless. So I started talking. I said, 'Brother Osama, the local Afghans are watching you now. But you have won the war for the Afghans. So what is your goal and purpose now? '

 "Osama said, "Brother Dulal, I have called you by satellite phone to say that. Now you don't have to just sit with Afghanistan. Now my target is Kashmir in India, Arakan Rakhine in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, Macedonia, Congo, Somalia, Ethiopia, China's Xinjiang province etc. The aim is to wage jihad there and rescue the oppressed Muslims and give them the power to rule. As was done in the golden age of Islam.'

 "I can't help but be shocked by what Osama has to say. What does Osama have to say? Rebellion in Saudi Arabia, investment in Sudan and the war in Afghanistan have made his condition miserable. Now he says he will do jihad in different countries. The countries concerned will never allow him to do that. And the United States will never cooperate in the Afghan war as it did. And in the golden age of Islam all Muslims were united. But now the Muslims themselves are divided into hundreds of groups, opinions and territories. Why doesn't Osama understand that? Or is heroin poisoning Osama's mind? The Mujahideen have no value to them now. Meanwhile, Osama's condition is deplorable. Rejected by the Afghans, he is now having a bizarre dream of jihad around the world. Now I must leave for Bangladesh as soon as possible."

  Dalim Khan said, "Hujur, we also want to build a jihadi network around the world."

Big hujur said,"We want to do it as an option. But Osama bin Laden wants to do it as a necessity. In Afghanistan he has suffered losses by doing that. But we will form a government and an organization around the world. If necessary, we will take control of the OIC." 

  Ekbal Pathan said, "Then I will be the Secretary General of the OIC."

  I told Ekbal, "As Secretary General of the OIC, don't think that you have taken the world into your own hands."

  I said, "Former Pakistani Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the OIC Secretary General when he was executed. The post of OIC Secretary General could not save Zulfikar Ali Bhutto from execution."

  "I said, 'You don't have technology in your house, so how do you turn it into a satellite camp?' Osama said, 'I will import advanced equipment.' I said, 'Which country should I import from?' Osama said, 'From Taiwan.' I said, 'How can I import?' Osama said, 'You buy it.' I said, 'I don't have the money.' Osama said, 'I will give you all the money. I will give you one of my faithful disciples, Kabirov. Kabirov's home is in Kazakhstan. He also fought in Afghanistan.' Osama took out a briefcase from the floor of the stool.After opening the box of the briefcase, I saw that it was filled with notes of ten thousand, fifty thousand and one hundred thousand dollars. Out of them, Osama gave me sixteen notes of fifty thousand dollars. He said, "With eight lakh dollars you will go to Taipei and meet with the former Taiwanese army chief General Chutan. বড় হুজুর বললেন,"অবশ্যই।সেই প্রশিক্ষণ সরাসরি সিআইএর এজেন্টদের কাছ থেকে নিয়েছি। মূলত রুশ-আফগান যুদ্ধের সময় আফগানদেরকে সকল প্রশিক্ষণ সিআইএ দিয়েছে পাকিস্তানের সিক্রেট সার্ভিস আইএসাইএর মাধ্যমে। কিন্তু আমি সরাসরি সিআইয়ের প্রশিক্ষিত লোক।"

বদর আলি তখন হেসে বলল,"আর আমি বাংলাদেশের সেনাবাহিনীর মেজর হওয়া সত্ত্বেও হুজুরের কাছ থেকে সিআইয়ের প্রশিক্ষণ নিয়ে আরো দক্ষ হয়েছি।"

এই কথা বদর আলিসহ সকলেই হেঃ হেঃ হেঃ করে হেসে উঠলো।

আমি বললাম,"সিআইয়ের কাছ থেকে প্রশিক্ষণ নিয়ে আপনি বাংলাদেশে জঙ্গিবাদ ছড়াচ্ছেন।এটা সিআইএ জানলে কিন্তু আপনার বিরাট সমস্যা হবে।এমনকি আপনাকে গ্ৰেফতার করতে বাংলাদেশে সিআইয়ের বিশেষ টিম আসতেও পারে।"

বড় হুজুর বললেন,"মোটেই না।কেননা,আমি ইউএসএ অথবা তাদের কোন নাগরিকের বিরুদ্ধে সক্রিয় নই।তাই আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে সিআইয়ের সক্রিয় হওয়ার কোন কারণ নাই।"

আমি বললাম,"কিন্তু আপনি সিআইয়ের কাছ থেকে প্রশিক্ষণ নিয়েছেন।এখন যদি সিআইয়ের এজেন্টরা খোঁজ করে যে,তাদের প্রশিক্ষিত লোকটা কোথায়?"

বড় হুজুর এই কথা শোনে ঠোঁট উল্টে মাথা নেড়ে বললেন,"সিআইয়ের এমন দরকার হয়নি।সেই সময়ে কারা কারা আফগান যুদ্ধে সিআইয়ের কাছ থেকে প্রশিক্ষণ নিয়েছে,তাদের ব্যাপারে অথবা তাদের চোদ্দো গোষ্ঠীর ব্যাপারে খোঁজ নেয়ার দরকার সিআইয়ের হয়নি।"

বদর আলি বলল,"আমিও তো সেনাবাহিনীর মেজর ছিলাম,আমারও তো কোন খোঁজখবর সেনাবাহিনী থেকে নেয়া হয় না।"

বড় হুজুর বলতে লাগলেন,"উসামা বিন লাদেনের আস্তানা ছিলো দুর্গম এলাকায়।প্রথমে গেলাম গাড়ি দিয়ে। কিন্তু অনেক পথ যাওয়ার পর দেখলাম চিপা রাস্তা।তাই গাড়ি রেখে মোটর সাইকেল ভাড়া করে আরো অনেক দূর গেলাম।এরপর মোটর সাইকে‌‌ল যাওয়ার মতো রাস্তাও আর রইলো না।তাই সেই স্থানের এক লোকের কাছ থেকে একটা গাধা ভাড়া করে রওয়ানা হলাম উসামার আস্তানার দিকে।প্রায় তিন ঘণ্টা পর একটা এলাকায় গেলাম।এলাকাটা একেবারে পাকিস্তানের বর্ডারের কাছে।দেখলাম কতগুলো লোক ক্লাসিনকভ রাইফেল হাতে নিয়ে মাটি দিয়ে তৈরি একটা বড় বাড়িকে কেন্দ্র করে টহল দিচ্ছে।আমাকে দেখে একজন এসে বলল,'আপনি কে?কোথা থেকে এসেছেন?এই স্থানে কেন এসেছেন?'

"আমি তখন আমার পরিচয় দিয়ে বললাম,'আমি উসামা বিন লাদেনের বন্ধু,আফগানিস্তানের যুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণকারী মুজাহিদ।'

"আমার এই কথা শোনে লোকটা বলল,'আপনি অপেক্ষা করেন,আমি উসামা হুজুরকে আপনার ব্যাপারে বলতে যাচ্ছি।' লোকটা চলে যাওয়ার পর আমি বেশ কিছুক্ষণ দাঁড়িয়ে ছিলাম।বেশ কিছুক্ষণ পর লোকটা এসে বলল,'আপনি আমার সঙ্গে আসেন।' এই কথা শোনে আমি লোকটার পিছনে পিছনে গেলাম।মাটির সেই বিশাল বাড়ির একটা বড় রুমে আমাকে নিয়ে যাওয়া হলো।সেই রুমে দেখলাম কতগুলো মাচা রাখা আছে।আমাকে একটা মাচা দেখিয়ে লোকটা বলল,'আপনি বসেন,সময় হলে উসামা হুজুর আপনাকে ডাকবেন।'

"আমি একটা মাচায় বসে বুঝলাম, এটা এই বিশাল মাটির বাড়ির ড্রয়িং রুম। অনেক্ষণ বসে থাকার পরও কোন সাড়া-শব্দ পেলাম না।আরো কিছুক্ষণ পর ড্রয়িং রুমের পাশের একটা দরজা খোলে উসামা হাতে খাবারের বড় প্লেট নিয়ে এসে বলল,'ভাই দুলাল,এসেছো?বসে বসে খাইতে থাকো।'এই কথা বলে আমার সামনে খাবারের প্লেটটা রেখে সে আবার দরজা আটকিয়ে দিলো।হ্যাঁ, এটা উসামা বিন লাদেনই। কিন্তু উসামা আর আগের উসামা নাই।চেহারা মলিন,ভগ্ন স্বাস্থ্য আর মলিন কাপড় পরিহিত এক অন্য উসামা।হায়রে উসামা,যে উসামার জীবনযাপন ছিলো সৌদি রাজপরিবারের প্রিন্সদের মতো, যার টাকায় অন্য মানুষেরা করতো বিলাসিতা, সেই উসামার আজ এই শোচনীয় অবস্থা। দেখলাম খাবারের প্লেটে শুকনো খেজুর, মলিন আপেল,কমলা,শুকনা রুটি আর জগে করে পানি। দীর্ঘ পথ ভ্রমণ করার কারণে ক্ষুধাও লেগেছে খুব।তাই সেগুলোই তৃপ্তি করে খাইতে লাগলাম।

"প্রায় এক ঘণ্টা পর উসামা দরজা খোলে বলল,'ভেতরে আসো।' আমি উসামার রুমের ভেতর ঢোকে দেখলাম, একেবারে অতি সাধারণ অবস্থা।একটা পুরনো চৌকি উপর তেল চিটচিটে কাঁথা - বালিশ বিছানো।পাশে একটা ক্লাসিনকভ রাইফেল আর সুতোর মধ্যে টাঙানো কতগুলো পুরনো কাপড়।

"আমি উসামাকে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম,'তুমি তো আফগান যুদ্ধে অনেক টাকা খরচ করেছো, কিন্তু তোমার এখন এই অবস্থা কেন?'

"উসামা প্রায় কেঁদে কেঁদে বলল,'শুরুতে স্থানীয় আফগানরা আমাকে যেন মাথায় তোলে রাখতো।তাদের আচরণ দেখে আমার মনে হয়েছিলো, আমাকে যেন ওরা প্রেসিডেন্ট হিসেবে বরণ করে নিয়েছে। তাই ওদের তোষামোদের শিকার হয়ে আমার সকল টাকা খরচ করে ফেলেছি। কিন্তু যুদ্ধের পর আজ আমি অবহেলার পাত্র। আন্তর্জাতিক মহলে আমার নাম ভাঙিয়ে আফগান সরকার মিডিয়া গরম করে, আর আমি এই দুর্গম এলাকায় খেয়ে না খেয়ে দিন কাটাচ্ছি।'

"আমি বললাম,'তুমি একা কেন? আব্দুল্লাহ আযযাম আর জাওয়াহিরি কোথায়?'

"উসামা বলল,'জাওয়াহিরি পালিয়েছে আর আযযাম পাকিস্তানে নিহত হয়েছে।'

"আমি বললাম,'পুরো ব্যাপারটা বলো।'

"উসামা বলতে লাগলো,'আমার উপরে আযযাম বেশি বেশি মাতব্বরি করছিলো।তাই ওর মাতব্বরি কমাতে জাওয়াহিরিকে আরো বেশি কাছে টেনে নিলাম।এতে আযযামের মাতব্বরি কমলেও আমার প্রতি ওর অভিমান জন্মালো।একদিন আমাকে আযযাম বলল,'আমি পাকিস্তানে চলে যাচ্ছি।' এই কথা শোনে আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম,'কেন?' আযযাম বলল,'পাকিস্তান সিক্রেট সার্ভিস আইএসাইএর মাধ্যমে আমরা আফগানিস্তানে যুদ্ধ করেছি।আর ওরাই এখন আমাদের কোন খোঁজখবর নেয় না।তাই আমি ওদেরকে গিয়ে বলবো,'আমাদেরকে যেন সহযোগিতা করে।' এই কথা বলে সে পাকিস্তানে চলে যায়।পরে আমি জানতে পারলাম, পাকিস্তানের পেশোয়ারে আযযাম গিয়ে আইএসআইয়ের এক অফিসারকে বলে সহযোগিতা করার জন্য।তখন সেই অফিসার যোগাযোগ করলো আইএসআইয়ের প্রধানের সঙ্গে।তখন সেই অফিসারকে আইএসআইয়ের প্রধান বলল,আযযামকে মেরে ফেলার জন্য।তাই আযযামকে সেই অফিসার পেশওয়ারে গুলি করে মেরে ফেললো।কেননা, বর্তমান আফগানিস্তানের ঝামেলায় কোন পাকিস্তানি সেনা অফিসার জড়াতে চায় না।এদিকে জাওয়াহিরি গিয়েছিল আফগান সরকারের কাছে সহযোগিতা চাইতে।তখন তাকেও খুন করার ব্যবস্থা করা হলো।বিষয়টা জানতে পেরে জাওয়াহিরি আফগানিস্তান থেকে পালিয়ে গেলো।আর আমি একা অযত্ন - অবহেলায় রয়ে গেলাম আফগানিস্তানে।' এই কথা বলার পর দেখলাম উসামার দু চোখের কোণায় পানি চকচক করছে।

"উসামার সঙ্গে আলাপ করে বুঝলাম,সুদানে বিনিয়োগ করা টাকা সেই দেশের সরকার আত্মসাৎ করে নিয়েছে, অবশিষ্ট টাকা আফগান যুদ্ধে খরচ করে উসামার অবস্থা প্রায় নিঃস্ব।নব গঠিত আফগান সরকার উসামাকে যুদ্ধের খরচ দেবে না,এটা প্রায় নিশ্চিত।আবার সিআইএ -ও উসামাকে ত্যাগ করেছে।অন্যদিকে উসামা চাইলেও নিজের দেশ সৌদি আরবে ফেরত যেতে পারবে না।আরেক নতুন ভয় উসামাকে তাড়া করা শুরু করলো।রুশরা যদি আফগানিস্তান আবার দখল করে নেয়,তাহলে উসামার শেষ আশাটাও বিফল হবে।এমন পরিস্থিতিতে উসামার অবস্থা একেবারে শোচনীয় হলো।এভাবেই উসামা বিন লাদেন নিজেই মানসিক আতঙ্কে ভোগতে লাগলো।

"আমাকে উসামা ফোন করার পর মনে করেছিলাম,আফগান যুদ্ধে অর্জিত সম্পদের কিছু অংশ বন্ধুত্বের নিদর্শন হিসেবে দেয়ার জন্য ডাকছে। কিন্তু এখন দেখছি সে নিজেই শোচনীয় অবস্থায় আছে।বিষয়টা যে আমার ভালো লাগছে না,সেটা উসামাকে বুঝতে দিলাম না।আমি বললাম,'তাহলে আফগান যুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণ করলে কেন?'

"উসামা অত্যন্ত বেদনায় বলল,'সেটা তো আমার বুদ্ধিতে করিনি।'

"আমি বললাম,'তাহলে কার বুদ্ধিতে করেছো?'

"উসামা বলল,'সিআইএয়ের সেই এজেন্টের মাধ্যমে আর সুদানে অবস্থানরত সৌদি রাষ্ট্রদূতের পরামর্শে।'

"আমি বললাম,'ওই রাষ্ট্রদূতের সঙ্গে তোমার যোগাযোগ হলো কীভাবে?'

"উসামা বলল,'সুদানে আমার বিনিয়োগ করা টাকা যখন সুদান সরকার দিচ্ছিল না। তাই আমি গেলাম সৌদি রাষ্ট্রদূতের কাছে,যাতে তিনি লবিং করে সৌদি সরকারের মাধ্যমে আমার টাকাটা দিতে পারেন। কিন্তু উল্টো আমাকে বললেন,বড় ধরণের একটা কিছু করার জন্য।যাতে তিনি বলতে পারেন,'এমন একজন লোকের টাকা আটকে না রেখে দিয়ে দেয়া হোক।'তাই ঠিক করা হলো,আমি আফগানিস্তানে টাকা বিনিয়োগ করে যুদ্ধ করবো।আর যুদ্ধ শেষে আমাকে আফগান সরকার বীরবেশে বরণ করে নেবে।সেটা দেখে সুদান সরকারকে সৌদি সরকার নির্দেশ দেবে আমার টাকা দিয়ে দেয়ার জন্য। কিন্তু এখন আমিই আফগান সরকার কর্তৃক অবহেলার পাত্র।আমাকে আরো বুঝানো হয়েছিলো,ইয়াসির আরাফাত যেমন মিশর থেকে এসে ফিলিস্তিনের নেতা হয়েছে,তেমনি আমিও সৌদি আরব থেকে আফগানিস্তানে এসে নেতা হতে পারবো। কিন্তু ইয়াসির আরাফাত শান্তিতে নোবেল প্রাইজ পেলেও আমি হয়েছি ফেরারি।মূলত ইয়াসির আরাফাতের কর্মকাণ্ডও আমাদের মতো।যেটাকে অন্যরা জঙ্গিবাদ বলে। কিন্তু এই প্রশ্ন অবান্তর যে, একই স্টাইলে কাজ করার কারণে ইয়াসির আরাফাতকে শান্তিতে নোবেল প্রাইজ দেয়া হলেও আমাকে কেন দেয়া হলো না? কেননা, এটা পুরোপুরি নোবেল কমিটির ব্যাপার।'"

"মূলত কিউবাতে চে গুয়েভারার সঙ্গে ফিডেল ক্যাস্ট্রো যা করেছে, উসামার সঙ্গে আফগান সরকারও সেটাই করছে।ফিডেল ক্যাস্ট্রো কিউবার ক্ষমতা দখল করার পর চে গুয়েভারা সেই দেশে বসবাস করছিলো। কিন্তু রাষ্ট্রপরিচালনার ব্যাপারে চে আর ফিডেলের মধ্যে দ্বন্দ্ব শুরু হয়।তাই চে গুয়েভারাকে ফিডেল ক্যাস্ট্রো কিউবা থেকে বিতাড়িত করেছিলো। যেভাবে লিয়ন ট্টস্কিকে জোসেফ স্ট্যালিন সোভিয়েত ইউনিয়ন থেকে বিতাড়িত করেছিলেন।ক্ষমতার দ্বন্দ্ব যেমন কমিউনিস্টদের মধ্যে আছে, তেমনি মুজাহিদদের মধ্যেও আছে।"

আমি বললাম,"বেশিরভাগ কমিউনিস্টরা ধর্ম ও পরকালে অবিশ্বাস করে।তাই ক্ষমতার জন্য যা খুশি তা-ই করতে পারে। কিন্তু মুজাহিদরা এমন করার কারণ কী?"

বড় হুজুর বললেন,"কমিউনিস্টরা করে নিজেদের অস্তিত্ব, দাম্ভিকতা, ভোগবিলাস ও ক্ষমতার লোভের জন্য। কিন্তু মুজাহিদরা এটা করেন ভালো কাজে প্রতিযোগিতার জন্য।"

বড় হুজুর যেমন তেমন একটা ব্যাখ্যা দিয়ে দিলেন। কিন্তু প্রকৃত সত্য তো এটাই যে, বিভিন্ন দেশের আধা পাগলদের দ্বারা সোভিয়েত ইউনিয়নের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করিয়ে শেষে স্থানীয় আফগানরা ওদের সঙ্গে গাদ্দারি করেছে।

বড় হুজুর বলতে লাগলেন,"আমার সঙ্গে কথা বলতে বলতে হঠাৎ করে উসামার শরীর কাঁপতে শুরু করলো।আমি ভয় পেয়ে উসামাকে সামলানোর জন্য উঠতে লাগলাম।তখন উসামা বলল,'তুমি বসো।আমি নিজে নিজেই ঠিক হতে পারবো।' এই কথা বলে উসামা কাঁপতে কাঁপতেই ক্লাসিনকভ রাইফেলের কাছ থেকে একটা ম্যাগাজিন হাতে নিলো।এরপর ম্যাগাজিনের ভেতর থেকে একটা কার্তুজ বের করলো।কার্তুজটার গোড়া ওর নোখ দিয়ে খামচা দিতেই খোলে গেল।তখন কার্তুজের ভেতর থেকে পাউডার বের হলো।একটু পাউডার হাতের তালুতে নিয়ে উসামা সেটা চেটে চেটে খাইলো। কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই উসামার কাঁপুনি বন্ধ হলো।কার্তুজের গোড়াটা আবার লাগিয়ে ম্যাগাজিনটা রাখলো।এরপর আমাকে উসামা বলল,'একটু হেরোইন খাইলাম।এখন আর কাঁপুনি হবে না।' আমি শকড হয়ে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম,'তুমি হেরোইন খাও কেন?তুমি কি জানো না যে, হেরোইন মারাত্মক মাদক?' উসামা বলল,'আমি এটা নেশা করার জন্য খাই না।বরং ঔষধ হিসেবে খাই।' আমি বললাম,'হেরোইন আবার ঔষধ হলো কীভাবে? এটা কি জায়েজ আছে?' উসামা বলল,'যুদ্ধের পর আমি চরম হতাশায় ভোগছিলাম।ক্রমে ক্রমে তা আমার শরীরকে প্রভাবিত করতে থাকে।ফলে হঠাৎ হঠাৎ আমার শরীরে কাঁপুনি শুরু হয়। তাই এই দুর্গম এলাকার এক অভিজ্ঞ আয়ুর্বেদিক চিকিৎসক আমাকে হেরোইন দিয়ে মাত্রা নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছেন।সেই মাত্রা অনুযায়ী খাইলে আমার কাঁপুনি দূর হয়ে যায়।' আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম,'ওই লোক হেরোইন পেলো কোথায়?' উসামা বলল,'এই দুর্গম এলাকায় পপি ফুলের চাষ হয়।সেই পপি ফুলের বীজ থেকেই স্থানীয় পদ্ধতিতে হেরোইন উৎপাদন করা হয়।আমি একজন মুজাহিদ।নিজের দেশ ছেড়ে অন্যদেশে এসে জিহাদ করছি।তাই আমার ক্ষেত্রে জায়েজ আর নাজায়েজ সাধারণ মানুষের মতো প্রযোজ্য না।'

"উসামার কথা আর আচরণে আমি বুঝলাম,প্রচলিত আইন,নিয়ম এমনকি ধর্মীয় অনুশাসনেরও কোন পরোয়া এখন সে করে না।তাই এখন উসামার সঙ্গে সেসব নিয়ে আলোচনা বৃথা।তাই আমি কাজের কথা শুরু করলাম।আমি বললাম,'ভাই উসামা, স্থানীয় আফগানরা তোমাকে এখন পাত্তা দিচ্ছে না। কিন্তু তুমি তো আফগানদেরকে যুদ্ধে জিতিয়ে দিয়েছো।তো এখন তোমার লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্য কী?'

"উসামা বলল,'ভাই দুলাল,এটা বলার জন্যই আমি তোমাকে স্যাটেলাইট ফোনের মাধ্যমে ডেকে এনেছি। এখন শুধু আফগানিস্তান নিয়ে বসে থাকলে হবে না।এখন আমার লক্ষ্য ভারতের কাশ্মির, মিয়ানমারের আরাকান রাখাইন, থাইল্যান্ড, কম্বোডিয়া,ফিলিপাইন, মেসিডোনিয়া,কঙ্গো, সোমালিয়া, ইথিওপিয়া,চীনের জিনজিয়াং প্রদেশ।আর উদ্দেশ্য হচ্ছে ওই স্থানে জিহাদ করা।এবং মজলুম মুসলিমদেরকে উদ্ধার করে শাসন ক্ষমতা প্রদান করা।যেভাবে ইসলামের সোনালি যুগে করা হয়েছিলো।'

"উসামার এই কথা শোনে আমি শকড না হয়ে পারলাম না।উসামা বলে কী?সৌদি আরবে বিদ্রোহ,সুদানে বিনিয়োগ আর আফগানিস্তানে যুদ্ধ করেই ওর অবস্থা শোচনীয়।এখন বলে কি না বিভিন্ন দেশে সে জিহাদ করবে। সংশ্লিষ্ট দেশগুলো কখনই তাকে সেটা করতে দেবে না।আর আফগান যুদ্ধে যেভাবে ইউএসএ সহযোগিতা করেছে,সেভাবে কখনই সহযোগিতা করবে না।আর ইসলামের সোনালি যুগে সকল মুসলিম ছিলেন ঐক্যবদ্ধ। কিন্তু এখন মুসলমানরা নিজেরাই শত শত দল, মত আর আঞ্চলিকতায় বিভক্ত।তাই এই যুগে তো আর সোনালি যুগের মতো জিহাদ করা সম্ভব হবে না।এই বিষয়টা উসামা কেন বুঝতে পারছে না? না কি হেরোইন খেয়ে উসামার মনে উদ্ভদ ধ্যান - ধারণা উৎপাত করছে?সকল কিছু মিলিয়ে বুঝলাম,আফগান সরকারের কাছ থেকে কিছু আশা করা উচিত হবে না।কেননা,ওরা তাদের সবচেয়ে বড় দাতা উসামাকেই প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছে।আর আমার মতো মুজাহিদের তো এখন ওদের কাছে কোন মূল্যই নাই।এদিকে উসামার অবস্থা শোচনীয়।আফগানদের দ্বারা প্রত্যাখ্যাত হয়ে এখন সে বিশ্বজুড়ে জিহাদের উদ্ভট স্বপ্ন দেখছে।এখন আমার উচিত হবে যত দ্রুত সম্ভব বাংলাদেশে চলে যাওয়া। কিন্তু এটা কখনই উসামাকে বুঝতে দেয়া উচিত হবে না।"

 ডালিম খান বলল,"হুজুর, আমরাও তো বিশ্বজুড়ে তো জিহাদি নেটওয়ার্ক গড়ে তোলতে চাই।"

বড় হুজুর বললেন,"আমরা করতে চাই অপশনাল হিসেবে। কিন্তু উসামা বিন লাদেন করতে চায় আবশ্যিক হিসেবে। আফগানিস্তানে সে ওই কাজ করে লোকসানের সম্মুখীন হয়েছে। কিন্তু আমরা সরকার গঠন করে বিশ্বজুড়ে একটা সংস্থা গঠন করবো।প্রয়োজনে ওআইসিকে আমাদের নিয়ন্ত্রণে নিয়ে নেব।"

একবাল পাঠান বলল,"তখন আমি হব ওআইসির মহাসচিব।"

একবালকে আমি বললাম,"ওআইসির মহাসচিব হয়ে মনে করবা না যে,তুমি বিশ্বটাকে হাতের মুঠোয় নিয়ে নিয়েছো।"

একবাল বলল,"কেন মনে করবো না?"

আমি বললাম,"পাকিস্তানের সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী জুলফিকার আলি ভুট্টোকে যখন ফাঁসি দিয়ে মৃত্যুদণ্ড কার্যকর করা হয়েছিলো,তখন তিনিও ওআইসির মহাসচিব ছিলেন।ওআইসির মহাসচিবের পদ পারেনি জুলফিকার আলি ভুট্টোকে ফাঁসি থেকে বাঁচতে।"

একবাল বলল,"জুলফিকার আলি কি আমার মতো বন্দুকবাজ ছিলো।"

আমি বললাম,"সম্ভবত না।"

একবাল বলল,"আমার সঙ্গে কেউ তেমন করতে পারবে না।কেননা,আমাকে গ্ৰেফতার করতে যারা আসবে,তাদেরকে দূর থেকে গুলি করে মেরে ফেলবো।"

আমি আর কোন কথা না বাড়িয়ে বড় হুজুরকে বললাম,"আচ্ছা হুজুর,পরে কী হলো?"

বড় হুজুর বলতে লাগলেন, "তাই খুবই সাবধানে বললাম,'ভাই উসামা,তোমার লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্য খুবই মহৎ।হযরত উমর যদি আজ থাকতেন,তাহলে তিনিও তোমার উদ্দেশ্যের সঙ্গে একাত্ম হতেন। কিন্তু তুমি তো এখন বাস করছো আফগানিস্তানের দুর্গম এই এলাকায়।তুমি কীভাবে তোমার লক্ষ্য পূরণ করবা?

"উসামা একটা দীর্ঘশ্বাস ফেলে বলল,'হ্যাঁ,তোমার কথা ঠিক।টাকা - পয়সা হারিয়ে আজ আমি প্রায় নিঃস্ব। কিন্তু অস্ত্র ও আধুনিক প্রযুক্তির সাহায্যে সেটা করা সম্ভব। প্রথমত বাংলাদেশে জিহাদি কাজের জন্য আমি তোমাকে বিলিয়নিয়ার অস্ত্র ব্যবসায়ীর সঙ্গে পরিচয় করিয়ে দেব।' এই কথা বলে উসামা স্যাটেলাইট ফোনের মাধ্যমে সেই বিলিয়নিয়ারের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করে বলল,'বন্ধু, তোমার জন্য আরেকটা ব্যবসার ব্যবস্থা করেছি।' অপর প্রান্ত থেকে বিলিয়নিয়ার বলল,'তোমার সঙ্গে ব্যবসার কথা আর কী বলবো? সৌদি আরবে গিয়ে হলে গ্রেফতার,সুদানে হলে প্রতারিত আর আফগানিস্তানের যুদ্ধে আমার থেকে অস্ত্র না কিনে আমেরিকান ও পাকিস্তানিদের কাছ থেকে কিনলা।এখন আবার কীসের ব্যবসার কথা বলছো?' উসামা বলল,'এখন অন্য কোন দেশ অথবা লোক দিয়ে না,বরং এবার তোমার বাংলাদেশে আরেক বাংলাদেশিকে নিয়ে তুমি ব্যবসাও করতে পারবা ক্ষমতাও দখল করতে পারবা।এখন তুমি তোমার দেশি ভাইয়ের সঙ্গে আলাপ করো।'এই কথা বলে আমার হাতে দুলাল স্যাটেলাইট ফোনটা দিলো।আমি ফোনে বিলিয়নিয়ারকে আমার পরিচয় দিলাম।এরপর বিলিয়নিয়ার বললেন,'দুলাল সাহেব,আমি একজন অস্ত্র ব্যবসায়ী। দুটো পদ্ধতিতে আমি অস্ত্র ব্যবসা করি।বৈধভাবে বিভিন্ন দেশের সরকারের সঙ্গে আমি নিজে ব্যবসা করি। আর বিভিন্ন দেশের বিচ্ছিন্নতাবাদী,উগ্ৰবাদী,সন্ত্রাসবাদী আর মাদক ব্যবসায়ীদের কাছে আমার বিশ্বস্ত লোক দিয়ে অবৈধ অস্ত্র বিক্রি করি।তাই আপনাদের কাছে আমার লোক দিয়ে অবৈধ অস্ত্র পাঠাতে হবে।তবে আপনারা ক্ষমতা দখল করতে পারলে আমার কাছ থেকে অর্থ মন্ত্রনালয়ের মাধ্যমে বিলিয়ন ডলারের অস্ত্র কিনতে হবে।' আমি বললাম,'অবশ্যই।' তখন বিলিয়নিয়ার আমাকে বললেন,'আপনারা যদি বাংলাদেশে আপনাদের সক্ষমতা আমাকে দেখাতে পারেন,তাহলে আমি অবশ্যই অস্ত্র ও অন্যান্য প্রয়োজনীয় সরঞ্জাম দেব।'এরপর আরো কথা বলে আলাপ শেষ করলাম।

"আমি বললাম,'অস্ত্র দিয়ে তুমি কীভাবে করবা,সেটা বুঝলাম। কিন্তু প্রযুক্তি দিয়ে তুমি সেটা কীভাবে করবা?' উসামা বলল,'আধুনিক প্রযুক্তির ব্যাপারে তোমার তেমন কোন আইডিয়াই নাই।উন্নত যন্ত্রপাতির মাধ্যমে আমার এই বাড়িটাকে একটা উচ্চশক্তি সম্পন্ন স্যাটেলাইট ক্যাম্পে পরিণত করবো।এরপর এই স্থান থেকেই বিশ্বের জিহাদ পরিচালনা করবো।'

"আমি বললাম,'তোমার বাড়িতে তো কোন প্রযুক্তি নাই,তাহলে তুমি কীভাবে এটাকে স্যাটেলাইট ক্যাম্পে পরিণত করবা?' উসামা বলল,'উন্নত যন্ত্রপাতি বিদেশ থেকে আমদানি করবো।' আমি বললাম,'কোন দেশ থেকে আমদানি করবা?'উসামা বলল,'তাইওয়ান থেকে।' আমি বললাম,'কীভাবে আমদানি করবা?উসামা বলল,'তুমি কিনে এনে দিবা।'আমি বললাম,'আমার কাছে তো টাকা নাই।' উসামা বলল,'সকল টাকা আমি দেব।তোমার সঙ্গে আমার একজন বিশ্বস্ত শিষ্য কবিরভকে দেব।কবিরভের বাড়ি কাজাখস্তানে।সেও আফগানিস্তানে জিহাদ করেছে। তাকে নিয়ে তুমি প্রথমে পাকিস্তানের ইসলামাবাদে পৌঁছবে।এরপর ইসলামাবাদ থেকে চীনের বেইজিংয়ে পৌঁছবে।এরপর তাইওয়ানের তাইপেতে।'এই কথা বলে সে চৌকির তলা থেকে একটা ব্রিফকেস বের করলো। ব্রিফকেসের ডালাটা খোলার পর দেখলাম সেটা দশ হাজার, পঞ্চাশ হাজার আর এক লাখ ডলারের নোটে ভরা।সেগুলো থেকে উসামা আমাকে পঞ্চাশ হাজার ডলারের ষোলোটা নোট দিলো।আর বলল,'আট লাখ ডলার নিয়ে তুমি তাইপেতে গিয়ে তাইওয়ানের সাবেক সেনাপ্রধান জেনারেল চুতনের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করবে।সে তখন তোমাকে যাবতীয় সরঞ্জাম দেবে।তখন সমুদ্রপথে সেগুলো নিয়ে দক্ষিণ চীন সাগর, বঙ্গোপসাগর আর আরব সাগর পেরিয়ে চলে আসবা করাচিতে।এরপর সেগুলো‌ নিয়ে চলে আসবা আফগানিস্তানে।'

"আমি বললাম,'বন্ধু উসামা,তুমি বলেছো যে,তুমি এখন নিঃস্ব।অথচ তোমার কাছে এতো ডলার কেন?'
