When I finished talking to Badr Ali, I went to the kitchen and started watching the morning cooking.

 When it was time for breakfast, everyone had breakfast. After breakfast I sat on a bench near the base.

 I have known for so many days that criminals kidnap people under various pretexts and demand ransom. But they are engaging people in terrorist activities under various pretexts.

 Badr Ali says that their preparation for jihad is to establish an Islamic state, but their strategy is to seize power completely.

 Basically, he interprets religion in any way he can to seize power. The main purpose of the various groups is to seize power, but to explain religion as their own.

 They are based on this sandshelf of the Jamuna river. But they will never be able to fight against the various trained forces of Bangladesh.

 A former army member had once formed such a force in Pakundia of Kishoreganj district. But in the end they too had to be defeated. Major Badr Ali and his party will also be defeated. But when the law enforcement finds out about their whereabouts, they will be arrested.

 It's half past twelve. At that time I heard some people shouting, "Big hujuris coming, big hujur is coming."

 Asking Badr Ali, I came to know that the chief of this party is coming in a speedboat from Dhaka. When he came close, he informed Badr Ali through wireless.

 After a while, I saw through binoculars that a speedboat was coming towards the base. The beard on his face is about half white. I guessed about the big hujur, he may be a very old man. But now with binoculars I saw that he is not so old.

 The speedboat came to the base. Then the big hujur got down from the speedboat. Badar Ali went and took the small bag from the big hujur's hand. Giving the bag to Badr Ali, the big boss said, "There are gold bars in the speedboat. They all weigh ninety kilograms. You don't have to rely on money alone. Money from one country cannot be traded in another.Again, dollars are not always enough. So we will do big transactions through gold."

 Then he looked at Tikka Khan ,Lalu Chowdhury and me.He said, "They are new to our base. I know Lalu and Tikka. But I don't know this boy." Then I introduced myself. The big hujur said again, "Badr Ali, you will train these three very well. So that they do not have any hesitation to be martyred."

 On hearing this, Badr Ali said, "Okay hujur. But you will train this boy. Because, his knowledge is much more than his age. So you will train him. Besides, this boy does not want to believe that we can seize power in Bangladesh."

 The old master looked at me and said, "All right."

 The big hujur walked towards the building. We followed him. And behind everyone, two people were bringing the box of gold bar.

 We have been diverted to this base on long way. Basically, the river Jamuna is near the base.

 After a while we reached the base.

 After opening a door of the building, the big hujur entered it. Badr Ali also entered from behind. And the gold box was also inserted in that room.

 The room of the big hujur is very ordinary, But absolutely airproof. There are no beds, chairs or tables in the room. More than half of the room is made of thick velvet bedding.Despite the doors being closed for so many days due to the airproof room, no dust could accumulate inside the room. But the big hujur came and started a machine. As a result, the outside air began to enter the room through the filter.

 I came to know from Badr Ali, the real name of the big hujur is Dulal Taluqdar. But now he is known to everyone as the big hujur.

 The big hujur sat down comfortably on the velvet bed. Badar Ali also sat comfortably on the velvet in front of the big hujur and asked me to sit too.

 After I sat down, the big hujur asked me, "We can seize power in Bangladesh, why do you disbelieve it?"

 I said fearlessly, but politely, "You have skilled gunmen at this base. But not enough to win against the various forces of Bangladesh."

 The old man smiled and said, "This? Well, tomorrow I'll show you something that will take away your disbelief. Will you ask me something now?"

 I said, "I want to ask Badr uncle first."

 Badr Ali said, "What do you want to ask?"

 I said, "How did you punch Tikka Khan in the eye and make sure that his eyes weren't cracked?"

 Badr Ali said, "No matter how hard the fist hits the eye, it cannot hit the eye. Rather, the blow hits the bone around the eye." Saying this, Badr Ali folded his hands and put them over his eyes. Seeing that, I did the same. Really, the eye have just touched, but the whole pressure is felt on the surrounding bones.

 The big hujur asked me, "Tell me if you have anything to ask."

 I smiled and said, "Why are you bothering to ask me this question?"

 The big hujur also smiled and said, "If you get the right answer in your mind, you will be largely free from doubt. And after seeing our preparations, you will be completely free from doubt."

বদর আলির সঙ্গে কথা শেষ হলে আমি চলে গেলাম রান্নাঘরে।আর সকালের রান্না দেখতে লাগলাম।

সকালের নাস্তার সময় হলে সকলেই নাস্তা করলাম। নাস্তা করে ঘাঁটির কাছে একটা বেঞ্চে বসে রইলাম।

এতো দিন জানতাম অপরাধীরা নানান বাহানায় মানুষকে কিডন্যাপ করে মুক্তিপণ আদায় করে। কিন্তু এরা নানান বাহানায় মানুষকে সন্ত্রাসী কাজে নিয়োজিত করছে।

বদর আলি বলছে যে,এটা তাদের জিহাদের প্রস্তুতি ইসলামি রাষ্ট্র প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য।কিন্তু এদের কর্মপন্থা সম্পূর্ণভাবে ক্ষমতা দখল করার জন্যই।

মূলত ক্ষমতা দখলের জন্য যে যেভাবে পারে,সেভাবেই ধর্মের ব্যাখ্যা করে। বিভিন্ন দলের মূল উদ্যেশ্য ক্ষমতা দখল করা, কিন্তু ধর্মের ব্যাখ্যা করে নিজেদের মতো করে।

যমুনার এই বালুচরে ওরা ঘাঁটি করেছে। কিন্তু বাংলাদেশের প্রশিক্ষিত বিভিন্ন বাহিনীর বিরুদ্ধে ওরা কখনই পারবেনা।

একবার কিশোরগঞ্জ জেলার পাকুন্দিয়াতেও এক সাবেক সেনা সদস্য এরকম বাহিনী গঠন করেছিলো। কিন্তু অবশেষে তাদেরকেও পরাজিত হতে হয়েছিলো।তেমনি মেজর বদর আলি এবং ওর দলেরও পরাজয় হবে।শুধু দুর্গম স্থান হওয়ার কারণে এদের সন্ধানটা গোপন আছে। কিন্তু যখন এদের সন্ধান আইন বাহিনী জানতে পারবে,তখন ঠিকই গ্ৰেফতার করা হবে। 

এখন বাজে পৌনে বারোটা।এমন সময় শোনলাম হইচই করে কয়েকজন বলছে,"বড় হুজুর আসছেন,বড় হুজুর আসছেন।"

বদর আলিকে জিজ্ঞেস করে জানতে পারলাম , ঢাকা থেকে স্পিডবোটে এই দলের প্রধান বড় হুজুর আসছেন। কাছাকাছি এসে সেটা তিনি ওয়্যারলেসের মাধ্যমে বদর আলিকে জানিয়েছেন।বদর আলির কাছ থেকে জানতে পেরেই কয়েকজন হইচই করেছে।

কিছুক্ষণ পর বাইনোকুলার দিয়ে দেখতে ‌পেলাম ঘাঁটির দিকে একটা স্পিডবোট আসছে।আর স্পিডবোটে বসে আছে পাগড়ি পরিহিত এক লোক। মুখের দাড়ি প্রায় অর্ধেক সাদা।বড় হুজুরের ব্যাপারে আমি অনুমান করেছিলাম,তিনি হয়তো অনেক বয়স্ক বৃদ্ধ লোক হবেন।কিন্তু বাইনোকুলার দিয়ে এখন দেখলাম তিনি ততোটা বৃদ্ধ নন।বয়স পঞ্চাশ থেকে ষাটের মধ্যে।

দেখতে দেখতে স্পিডবোটটা ঘাঁটির কাছে চলে এলো।এরপর বড় হুজুর স্পিডবোট থেকে নামলেন।বদর আলি গিয়ে বড় হুজুরের হাত থেকে ছোট ব্যাগটা নিলো।ব্যাগটা দিতে দিতে বদর আলিকে বড় হুজুর বললেন,"স্পিডবোটে স্বর্ণের বার আছে।সবগুলোর ওজন নব্বই কেজি।শুধু টাকার উপর নির্ভর করলেই হবে না।এক দেশের টাকা অন্যদেশে লেনদেন করা যায়না।আবার ডলারও সবসময় পর্যাপ্ত পাওয়া যায়না।তাই আমরা বড় বড় লেনদেনগুলো স্বর্ণের মাধ্যমেই করবো।" 

এরপর আমি,টিক্কা খান আর লালু চৌধুরীর দিকে তাকিয়ে বললেন,"এরা আমাদের ঘাঁটিতে নতুন।লালু আর টিক্কাকে আমি চিনি।তবে এই ছেলেটাকে আমি চিনিনা।" তখন আমি আমার পরিচয় দিলাম।বড় হুজুর আবার বললেন,"বদর আলি,তুমি এই তিনজনকে খুব ভালো করে প্রশিক্ষিত করে তোলবা।যাতে শহিদ হওয়ার জন্য ওদের বিন্দু পরিমাণ দ্বিধা না থাকে।"

এই কথা শোনে বদর আলি বলল,"ঠিক আছে হুজুর।তবে এই ছেলেটাকে আপনি প্রশিক্ষিত করবেন।কেননা,ওর জ্ঞান বয়সের তুলনায় অনেক বেশি। তাই একে আপনিই প্রশিক্ষিত করে তোলবেন। তাছাড়া আমারা যে বাংলাদেশের ক্ষমতা দখল করতে পারবো,সেটা এই ছেলে বিশ্বাসই করতে চাইছেনা।"

আমার দিকে তাকিয়ে বড় হুজুর বললেন,"আচ্ছা ঠিক আছে।"

বড় হুজুর এগিয়ে চললেন বিল্ডিং এর দিকে।তিনির পিছনে পিছনে আমরা এগিয়ে চললাম।আর সবার পিছনে দুইজনে স্বর্ণের বারের বাক্সটা নিয়ে আসছে।

এই ঘাঁটিতে আমাদেরকে পথ ঘুরিয়ে ঘুরিয়ে আনা হয়েছে।মূলত ঘাঁটির কাছাকাছিতেই যমুনা নদী।

কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই আমরা ঘাঁটিতে চলে এলাম। 

বিল্ডিং এর একটা দরজা খোলার পর সেটাতে বড় হুজুর প্রবেশ করলেন। পিছনে পিছনে বদর আলিও প্রবেশ করলো।আর স্বর্ণের বাক্সটাও সেই ঘরে ঢোকানো হলো।

বড় হুজুরের রুমটা অতি সাধারণ, কিন্তু একেবারে বায়ু নিরোধক। রুমে কোন খাট,চেয়ার অথবা টেবিল নাই।বেশি অর্ধেক রুমটা মোটা মখমল বিছানো।আর মখমলের এক অংশে বড় হুজুরের বিছানা।বায়ু নিরোধক রুম হওয়ার কারণে এতো দিন দরজা বন্ধ থাকা সত্ত্বেও রুমের ভেতর কোন ধুলোবালি জমতে পারেনি। কিন্তু বড় হুজুর এসে একটা মেশিন চালু করে দিলেন।ফলে বাইরের বাতাস ফিল্টারের মাধ্যমে রুমের ভেতর ঢোকতে লাগলো।

বদর আলির কাছে জানতে পারলাম, বড় হুজুরের আসল নাম দুলাল তালুকদার। কিন্তু এখন তিনি সবার কাছে বড় হুজুর নামেই পরিচিত।

বড় হুজুর এবার আরাম করে মখমলের বিছানায় বসলেন।বদর আলিও বড় হুজুরের সামনে মখমলের উপর আরাম করে বসলো আর আমাকেও বসতে বললো।

আমি বসার পর বড় হুজুর আমাকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন,"আমরা বাংলাদেশের ক্ষমতা দখল করতে পারবো,এটা তুমি অবিশ্বাস করছো কেন?"

আমি নির্ভয়ে , কিন্তু ভদ্রভাবে বললাম,"আপনাদের এই ঘাঁটিতে দক্ষ বন্দুকবাজ আছে। কিন্তু বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন বাহিনীর বিরুদ্ধে জয়ী হওয়ার জন্য যথেষ্ট না।"

বড় হুজুর হাসতে হাসতে বললেন,"এই কথা?আচ্ছা, আগামীকাল আমি তোমাকে এমন কিছু দেখাবো,যা দেখে তোমার অবিশ্বাস দূর হবে।এবার আমাকে তুমি কি কিছু জিজ্ঞেস করবা?"

আমি বললাম,"আগে বদর কাকুকে জিজ্ঞেস করতে চাই।"

বদর আলি বলল,"কী জিজ্ঞেস করতে চাও?"

আমি বললাম,"টিক্কা খানের চোখের উপর প্রচণ্ড ঘুষি মেরে আপনি নিশ্চিত করে কীভাবে বললেন যে,ওর চোখ ফাটেনি?"

বদর আলি বলল,"হাত মুঠো পাকিয়ে যত জোরেই চোখের উপর মারা হোক,তা চোখ পর্যন্ত আঘাত করতে পারেনা।বরং সেই আঘাতটা চোখের চারপাশের হাড়ে লাগে।"এই কথা বলে বদর আলি নিজের হাত মুঠি পাকিয়ে নিজের চোখের উপর রাখলো।দেখাদেখি আমিও তেমন করলাম।সত্যিই তো ,চোখে শুধু স্পর্শ করেছে, কিন্তু পুরো চাপটা লাগছে চারপাশের হাড়ে।

আমাকে বড় হুজুর জিজ্ঞেস করলেন,"আমাকে তোমার কিছু জিজ্ঞেস করার থাকলে বলো।"

আমি মুচকি মুচকি হেসে বললাম,"আপনাকে প্রশ্ন করার জন্য আপনি কেন এতো তাগাদা দিচ্ছেন?"

বড় হুজুরও মুচকি হেসে বললেন,"তোমার মনের যথাযথ উত্তর পেলে তুমি অনেকাংশেই সংশয়মুক্ত হবে।আর আমাদের প্রস্তুতি দেখার পর তুমি পুরোপুরি সংশয়মুক্ত হবে।"
