বদর আলিকে আমি বললাম, " আপনারা কেমন এগিয়ে যাচ্ছেন ? "
বদর আলি বলল, " আমাদের ঘাঁটিতে থাকতে থাকতেই জানতে পারবা। সন্ধ্যা হতে চলেছে। এখন নিজেদের রুমে গিয়ে বিশ্রাম নাও। "
এই কথা বলে বদর আলি একটা টিন শেড ঘরে চলে গেল। আমাদেরকে ডালিম খান আরেকটা টিন শেড ঘরে নিয়ে গেল। বাহির থেকে সাধারণ টিন শেড ঘর মনে হলেও খুবই মজবুত এবং ভিতরে খুবই সুসজ্জিত। ডালিম খানের কাছ থেকে জানতে পারলাম টিনগুলো তৈরি করা হয়েছে স্টিল আর টাইটানিয়ামের মিশ্রণে। এগুলো নাকি বুলেটপ্রুফ। ঘরের ভিতরে দেখলাম রাশিয়ান একে 47 এবং আমেরিকান এম ১৬ কারবাইন রাইফেল। অথচ ওদের হাতে এসকেএস রাইফেল। বিষয়টা আমার কাছে অদ্ভুত মনে হলো। ওই দু ধরণের রাইফেল দিয়ে অটোমেটিক গুলি করা যায়, আবার সিঙ্গেল শট গুলিও করা যায়। কিন্তু এসকেএস রাইফেল দিয়ে শুধু সিঙ্গেল শট করা যায়। ঘরের ভিতরে দেখলাম ডালিম খান স্টিলের কতগুলে পাইপ টেনে আর পাত বসিয়ে কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই পাঁচটা চৌকি তৈরি করে ফেলল। সে বলল, এগুলো ফোল্ডিং বেড। সন্ধ্যাবেলা তৈরি করে আর সকালবেলা গুটিয়ে ফেলে। আমাকে দেয়া বেডে শুয়ে শুয়ে আমি ভাবতে লাগলাম, যমুনা নদীর মাঝে বালুচরে এমন একটা ঘাঁটি তৈরি হলো কীভাবে ? ওদের আছে দক্ষ শ্যুটার, কিন্তু এই গুটি কতক শ্যুটার দিয়ে বাংলাদেশের ক্ষমতা দখল করা অসম্ভব। আর্মি, পুলিশসহ বাংলাদেশের আছে আরো বাহিনী। বাংলাদেশের ক্ষমতা দখল করতে হলে এদের সকলকেই পরাস্ত করতে হবে। এটা ওরা কীভাবে পারবে ? এই বিষয়গুলো ভাবতে ভাবতে ঘুমিয়ে পড়লাম। ঘুম ভাঙল ডালিম খানের ডাকাডাকিতে। ডালিম খান বলল, " টিফিন ক্যারিয়ারে করে রাতের খাবার দেয়া হয়েছে। আজ হাঁসের মাংস দিয়ে খাবো। "
আমি কয়েক ধরণের হাঁসের মাংস খেয়েছি, দেশিহাঁস, পাতিহাঁস, রাজহাঁস আর পিকিং হাঁস। কিন্তু এই হাঁসের মাংসটা অন্যরকম মনে হলো। ডালিম খানকে জিজ্ঞেস করলে সে বলল, " এটা ময়াল হাঁসের মাংস। শীতকালে হিমালয় পর্বত পেরিয়ে অনেক ময়াল হাঁস আসে। কিন্তু ময়াল হাঁসের অনেক বাচ্চা নিজেদের দেশে না গিয়ে বাংলাদেশেই থেকে যায় এবং বড় হয়। যমুনার বালুচরে আমরা সেগুলো গুলি করে মেরে খাই। এতে আমাদের খাওয়া ও গোলাগুলির প্র্যাকটিসও হয়। "
খাওয়ার পর কিছুক্ষণ হেঁটে আবার বিছানায় বসলাম। বদর আলিকে শান্তিতে নোবেল প্রাইজের কথা বললাম। অথচ সে প্রত্যাখ্যান করল। আবার অলিম্পিকে শ্যুটিং প্রতিযোগিতার প্রস্তাবও প্রত্যাখান করল। এরা কি জঙ্গিবাদী কাজ করে এরচেয়ে বেশি কিছু করতে পারবে ? হ্যাঁ, ওরা প্রত্যেকেই নিজেদের ক্ষেত্রে সফল। তবে অসৎ ও বিপথগামী। অবশ্যই বিপথগামী। বদর আলিকে সেনাবাহিনী থেকে বের করে দেয়ার পর সে যে কোন সৎ পেশা গ্রহণ করতে পারতো। ফৌজদারি উকিলটা একেবারেই অসৎ। সরকারি কলেজ থেকে পড়ে কম বেতনের চাকরি করাটা অস্বাভাবিক কিছু না। বাংলাদেশের মতো ঘনবসতির দেশে এমন হওয়াই স্বাভাবিক। এই কারণে জঙ্গিবাদে জড়ানোর কোন যুক্তি নাই। প্রাইভেট ভার্সিটি অথবা সরকারি কলেজের সনদের মান একই। তাই প্রাইভেট ভার্সিটি থেকে পড়লেই বেশি বেতনের চাকরির নিশ্চয়তা নাই। অবৈধ ভার্সিটি প্রতিষ্ঠিত করলে আইনগত ব্যবস্থাও আছে। তাই জঙ্গিবাদে জড়ানোর কোন যুক্তি নাই।হ্যাঁ, একদিন এই পৃথিবী থেকে মৃত্যু বরণ করে সকলকেই বিদায় নিতে হবে। কিন্তু মৃত্যুর জন্য অপেক্ষায় থেকে বৈরাগী হওয়ার অনুমোদন নাই। মূলত এরা প্রত্যেকেই বিপথগামী। বিভিন্ন বাহানায় জঙ্গিবাদে জড়িয়েছে। যদি বড় হুজুরের সঙ্গে দেখা না হতো, তবে শহরের গুন্ডা - মাস্তান হতো।
পাশের বেডের দিকে তাকিয়ে দেখলাম, ডালিম খানকে টিক্কা খান হাত নাড়িয়ে ফিস ফিস করে কী যেন বুঝাচ্ছে। অনেকক্ষণ পর টিক্কা খান আরেকটা বেডে গিয়ে শুয়ে পড়ল। ডালিম খানও ঘরের লাইট অফ করল। আমি ভাবতে লাগলাম, ডালিম খানকে টিক্কা খান এমন করে কী বুঝাল ?
